LG unveiled the LG Q series last month at an event in Poland where three new phones were announced LG Q6, Q6 Alpha and Q6 Plus. Now LG has launched the Q6 smartphone on Amazon today priced at Rs. 14,999.
The pricing is very aggressive this time by the Korean giant, I was expecting a price tag of at least Rs. 16,999. But LG has surprised us by launching a good smartphone at an affordable price.
The LG Q6 will compete with the Nokia 6, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 Plus in the market. And considering the low price will find many buyers looking to switch to LG Q6.
LG Q6 is a more affordable version of the flagship LG G6 flagship smartphone which is priced close to Rs. 36,500 currently in the market.
LG Q6 – Specs, Details and Features
The Key Highlight of the smartphone is it’s 18:9 Full Vision Display which comes with least amount of Bezel and curved screen corners. LG shared that around 48% of the smartphones dropped by people land on edges and screen breaks from there. The LG Q6 and LG G6 solve that issue to a greater extent as the curved display tend to break less compared to pointed rectangular displays.
The mobile comes with an 18:9, FHD+ display(2160*1080) pixels with 442 PPI. The display resolution is slightly higher compared to a Full HD Display (1920*1080) and it comes with a flat surface, no 2.5D curved glass is there.
The display size is 5.5 Inch though due to lower bezels it won’t feel bigger than a 5.2 Inch display phone. The LG Q6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and comes with Adreno 505 GPU.
The Q6 comes with 3 GB of Ram and 32 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 32 GB using the micro-sd card slot.
The smartphone comes with a single 13 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 MP front facing selfie camera with 100-degree wide angle. Oddly, LG has not used a fingerprint scanner on the Q6 but it comes with Face recognition technology and Knock Code to unlock the device.
The LG Q6 runs on the Android Nougat 7.1 OS along with the LG UX 6.0 and has a 3000 mAH capacity battery. The smartphone has 8.1 mm of thickness and comes with 149 grams weight.
The Mobile has Dual sim support and comes with a dedicated slot for using the Micro-sd card, it also supports 4G LTE as well as VOLTE networks.
The smartphone is already available on Amazon India and will come in black, platinum and gold colour options.
LG has been reluctant in the market and especially there has been a dearth of any good budget phones from the Korean Giant, but with the launch of Q6 Lg is back in the great battle of mid-range phones.
