The LG Q6 was launched in the last month July 2017 and is exclusively available on Amazon India priced at Rs. 14,999. The LG Q6 comes with a infinite display with near bezel-less front panel.
On the other hand Micromax recently announced that it’s new bezel-less smartphone Canvas Infinity will also launch on Amazon on 4th September 2017, priced at Rs. 9,999. The Canvas Infinity and the LG Q6 comes with a infinite display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Let’s compare both the smartphones to see which is a better choice.
Display Size & Resolution
The LG Q6 comes with a display size of 5.5 inches having (FHD+) resolution of 2160 * 1080 pixels (442 ppi pixel density). The LG Q6 also comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Whereas, Micromax Canvas Infinity has a bigger screen size of 5.7 Inches but have lower resolution of 1440*720 pixel(283 ppi pixel density). It has not been confirmed that the display will come with any protection.
Both smartphones offer decent bezel-less display with 18:9 resolution. Though the biggest advantage of LG Q6 display is much higher pixel density and display quality. The experience on the Q6 is going to be better compared to the Canvas infinity display.
The LG Q6 currently runs on android 7.1.1 Nougat and the Micromax Canvas infinity also comes with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat, both the devices offer the latest Google OS and decent experience.
The LG Q6 comes with a superior processor clocked at 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8490) processor accompanied with Adreno 505 GPU.
On the other hand the Micromax Canvas Infinity is powered by a Quad core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 processor accompanied with Adreno 308 GPU. Performance wise the
Snapdragon 435 and Adreno 505 used in the LG Q6 is better compared to the Canvas Infinity.
Internal Storage and RAM
The internal storage of LG Q6 is 32 GB and it comes with 3 GB of RAM. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB through microSD card using a dedicated slot.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity also has 32 GB internal storage expandable to 128 GB and it comes with 3 GB of RAM. In terms of internal storage and RAMS both the smartphones are on the same platform.
The Rear camera of LG Q6 have 13 Megapixel lens having aperture f/2.2 with autofocus and LED flash. Micromax also have the same Megapixel camera lens with less aperture size of f/2.0.
The front Camera Micromax Canvas infinity offers a much better 16 Megapixel lens with aperture size f/2.0 , autofocus and a LED flash. where LG Q6 just has a 5 Megapixel lens camera with f/2.2 aperture size.
Clearly Micromax has an advantage as far as the front selfie camera goes, while rear camera is slightly better on the LG Q6.
Both the smartphones have connectivity options like 4G LTE (VOLTE) , WIFI, Bluetooth & micro USB 2.0.
LG Q6 does not have a fingerprint scanner but comes with face unlock technology. Micromax Canvas Infinity does offer a Fingerprint scanner, which is rear-mounted.
The LG Q6 packs with a non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAH battery with fast charging support. The Micromax Canvas Infinity comes with a removable Li-Ion 2980mAH battery. We can expect almost similar battery life on both the devices.
Micromax Canvas Infinity comes with a single colour option Black, where in LG Q6 you have colour options like Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White and Terra Gold.

LG Q6 comes with a much better display, has a better and faster processor, a much reliable and better brand name and after sales service. Micromax Canvas Infinity has a better front selfie camera and it is cheap plus it also comes with a fingerprint scanner which is missing on the LG Q6.
The price difference is also large Rs 5000 between both the phones making LG Q6 a slightly expensive option if you have a lower budget. Though the Q6 is a better phone but Micromax has a decent price advantage to make it a good deal for many.
You can decide based on your budget and if you want a better selfie camera and fingerprint scanner or you will be happy with a much better display and faster processor.
