They have had their own share of success but nothing like Apple iPhone 7 or Samsung S8. Although, this time their G6 is doing good, but may fall short of enthusiasts expectations as it is powered by Snapdragon 821.
The below image was leaked by Evan Blass on Twitter and showcases the New LG V30 with the Full Vision Display and a more curved design.

Lg is expected to launch the V30 powered by the Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.45 GHz and paired with Adreno 540 on August 31st as per the invite sent by the company. The launch is going to be in Germany, Berlin. (Below image was shared by LG).
It’ll not only include the latest chipset but will come with 4 GB of RAM. The 4 GB RAM looks less when compared to phones like OnePlus 5 (8 GB RAM). The upcoming LG V30 will continue the legacy of featuring Dual Rear camera setup and a powerful DAC for music enthusiasts.
The LG V20 has immersive audio output, a dream handset for all the audiophiles.
The inbuilt Quad DAC with 32-bit audio enhancement chip, which is expected to be more refined in the V30. Also, the intelligent use of that DAC system for the video recording makes it useful for content creators and even for You-Tubers.
The LG V20 came with Dual rear camera setup which in the league of Google Pixel, Samsung S8, Google Pixel and iPhone 7.
There are reports LG is considering Dual camera setup for the front as well as the rear. Gionee recently launched a smartphone in China called as the Gionee S10 which comes with 4 camera – Dual Rear and Dual Front. LG already has tried the Dual front camera on the LG V10 which came with Dual 5 MP f/2.2 camera and may have a 4 camera setup on the V30.
LG would not have a ticker smaller display on the V30 to keep the aesthetic look but will have the Full Vision display with 18:9 resolution and curved edges like the LG G6. It may also come with an always on display feature.
The always on display feature on other devices like Samsung S7 edge has been a battery hog.
The smartphone is expected to come with a 5.7 Inches, Quad- HD OLED Display panel. The display panel is touted to be superior to the one used in the Lg G6 and this is the first time LG is using the OLED panel on any smartphone.
The V30 was recently was spotted on Geekbench and it scored 1899 and 6350 scores for single core and multi-core test. As expected from a Snapdragon 835 powered device.
The mobile runs on the Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and will offer decent performance as well as user experience.
