LG has unveiled a long battery life smartphone ahead of the MWC 2017. The name itself justifies the Key highlight of the phone as it’s equipped with a colossal 4500 mAH battery.
LG has also recently launched the LG G6 flagship phone with a Dual rear camera and a Full Vision display.
The LG X Power2 comes with a curved poly-plastic back cover, which is unlike most metallic offerings. The back is plain bland and carries a circular camera with a Led Flash. There is no fingerprint scanner either at the back side or front.
The front of X Power2 has a front-facing selfie camera and a dedicated flash, a nice touch for selfie enthusiasts.

The LG X Power2 measures in at 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs about 164 grams. Not too much considering the large battery it houses.
The mobile comes with a 5.5 inch HD (720 x 1280) In-Cell display. The phone is powered by an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. LG has not shared which processor they are using.
The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM and offers 16 GB of inbuilt storage. Fortunately, it can be expanded up to 2 TB with micro SD card.
There is a 13 MP rear camera along with Single LED flash. There is a 5 MP selfie shooter at the front with a dedicated flash, for low light selfies.
Another noteworthy point is the X Power2 comes with latest Android Nougat v 7.0 with LG UX 5.0 on top. Powering the phone is a massive 4500 mAH battery. It also supports fast charging, which can charge up to 50% in 1hour of time.
The company also claims that the X Power2 can work for the whole weekend when moderately used. It can play up to 15 hrs of videos and can surf for 18 hours.
This is the largest battery smartphone that LG has ever made, the predecessor LG X Power came with 4100 mAH battery and was launched last year.
Keeping things to basic, it doesn’t have USB type-C port or a Fingerprint scanner but uses micro USB v2.0 port for data/files transfer and fast charging. There’s also OTG support along with usual Dual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, and 4G/VOLTE support.
LG hasn’t yet disclosed the price and availability of the phone. Though they have shared that it will be available in – Black Titan, Grey, Blue and Shiny Gold colors. It’ll be crucial for LG to price it aggressively in order to compete with smartphones like Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X, Lenovo P2, K6 Power and Asus Zenfone 3S Max.
