LG X Screen With Dual Display launched on Snapdeal Price Rs 12990

LG has partnered with Snapdeal for an exclusive launch of its Dual screen smartphone LG X Screen in India.  With the dual-screen design, the LG X screen becomes the follow-up device for the LG V10 smartphone, and it costs just half of the price of LG V10.

The LG X Screen is surprisingly cheaper for the specs and features it comes with and has a price tag of Rs. 12,990.

LG X Screen was unveiled back in February 2016, at the Mobile World Congress and was showcased along with the LG X Cam smartphone. (Read More – LG X Screen and LG X Cam Unveiled. )

In this dual screen concept, LG is adding a small strip of LCD display placed above the usual display of the smartphone. This second one will host shortcuts to recent apps, or shows call control keys without interrupting the main screen.

The screen is not a customizable, but it will change its function based on the user activity. The secondary screen can be used for functions such as music control, toggle switch for data connectivity and even provides IN-app functionality like camera zoom. this display will stay always ON. LG claims a negligible amount of battery consumption for this. Unlike the Samsung S7 always on display which eats up 4% battery life per hour, this is a more energy efficient method.

The smartphones’ main screen has an HD resolution but we can get many Full HD smartphones under this price range. Powered by the by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz and has 2 GB RAM. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and for storage 16 GB space is available.

The smartphone carries a 13-megapixel camera for the rear and there is a decent 8-megapixel camera for clicking selfies at the front. Coming from LG the camera is expected to be good and it could be one of the best camera smartphones you can buy under Rs. 13,000 from a reputed brand.

Apart from usual smartphone features. The device includes a panic button that alerts the user’s emergency contacts in case of such circumstance. Pressing the power button repeatedly for 5 times will activate this feature. This specifici feature is only for India and it looks like a thoughtful addition.

The LG X would be one of the best phones in terms of looks and feel as it is made of glass fiber which is a newly built material used for a smartphone. The phone has a high gloss appearance and includes a metal frame running along the sides. The smartphone is lightweight and sleek with just 7.1 mm thickness.

The LG C Screen comes with 2300 mAH battery capacity which may sound low, but it has an optimized OS, battery saving Dual display and a conservative processor and display which would make it last more compared to many phones with higher battery capacity.

The LG X screen will compete with other leading smartphone models like Le 2, Redmi Note 3, Moto G4 which has a similar price. The performance will not be at par with most of these competition smartphones as the LG X Screen runs on Snapdragon 410, which is no match for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650.

While a lot of users may not want all that raw power and will find LG X Screen a more innovative, decent camera smartphone with good user experience as well as better quality control by LG. Overall the smartphone looks promising for the price.
