Meizu has launched the new smartphone Meizu metal in China priced at CNY 1099 or Rs. 11,999. The smartphone is available in two variants the 16GB Version and the 32 GB version. The cost of 32 GB version is CNY 12,999 equivalent to Rs. 13,999.
The smartphone has a metallic body, a far cry from the current plastic design on most of its low-end smartphones. No date is given when they will bring the smartphone to the Indian market.
To remind the readers Meizu has launched the Meizu M2 Note in the Indian market priced at Rs. 6,999(available on Snapdeal. Meizu also launched the high-end smartphone Meizu MX5 on Snapdeal with a fingerprint scanner and other top end features.
Meizu Metal Key Specs and Details
OS – The new Meizu metal offers good specs for a very affordable price. The smartphone runs on the latest Android Lollipop 5.1 along with the custom UI Flyme 5.1.
Performance – The smartphone is powered by the 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, clubbed with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It is an incredible processor and also powers some of the top end mobiles like the HTC One M9+.
The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM which is adequate for multitasking and playing Android games.
Screen – The Meizu Metal comes with 5.5-inch display and has a resolution of 1920*1080 (Full HD). The smartphone screen offers 401 PPI pixel density. The screen also comes with a new protection element T2X-1 glass protection and also has 2.5 D glass to ensure better readability and seamless design.
Camera – The Meizu Metal comes with a 13-megapixel camera lens and with phase detection autofocus, led flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. The smartphone also has a front 5 Mega-pixel camera.
Battery Life – The highlight of the smartphone is its large battery with 3150 mAH battery capacity which is suitable for all-day usage. Despite having such a large battery, Meizu has been able to keep the smartphone weight to 162 grams, and it has a thickness of 8.2 mm.
The Meizu Metal offers 4G LTE connectivity support along with the 3G and 2G native connectivity options.
Meizu may introduce the Meizu metal in India considering the high interest of the organization in the Indian market. Meizu has been struggling in the Indian market, in 2017 they have not been aggressive like Xiaomi or Motorola.
The brand recently introduced 2 new Dual Display phones called – Meizu Pro 7 and Meizu Pro 7 Plus powered by Helio X30 processor and 6 GB RAM.
