Meizu has unveiled a new smartphone in the Chinese market named as the Meizu MX6. The smartphone is priced at CNY 1999 or Rs. (20,500). The smartphone will go on sale soon online and will also be available offline.
The Meizu MX6 is powered by the Helio X20 processor which is a Deca-Core (10 Cores) processor made by MediaTek. The Helio X20 first surfaced back in March 2016 and a rather unknown brand Zopo used it in the ZOPO Speed 8 smartphone. (The Zopo Speed 8 smartphone is launched in India last week.)
The chipset architecture is based on a Tri cluster – one cluster is Quad core (Cortex A53 at 1.8 GHz), second cluster clocked at 1.4 GHz while the third one is a dual core set up ( Cortex A72 at 2.3 GHz). Though on paper the processor looks great it is no match for the Snapdragon 820.
We can expect the performance to be slightly more than the Snapdragon 810 chipset. The Antutu Benchmark score for the processor is 93,035.
The smartphone comes with 4 GB of Ram and runs on the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS along with the Flyme OS 5.5.
The Meizu MX6 comes with a better camera with a 12 Megapixel Lens and with a large aperture size of f/2.0 to capture images with clarity in low light conditions. The rear camera also has the ability to record 4k Videos and has phase detection auto-focus. The front camera is a 5-megapixel shooter and can click good selfies.
The Meizu MX6 comes with 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920*1080)P and has 401 PPI (pixels per inch). The smartphone display comes with 85% color gamut. The display is protected by the Corning’s Gorilla glass and there is also a 2.5 D curve glass coating to make the user experience better. The smartphone looks quite similar to the Meizu Note 3 which was launched in India some weeks back.
The smartphone has a thickness of 7.4 mm and has a weight of 155 grams which is not too heavy for a 5.5-inch device.
The Meizu MX6 has 32 GB of internal storage and comes with Dual Sim support along with 4G LTE connectivity. The Meizu MX 6 comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button and Meizu says it can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds.
The smartphone comes with USB type C port for connectivity.
The MX6 comes with a decent 3050 mAH battery capacity and fast charging support. So far the smartphone is available in China and we may have to wait before Meizu decides to bring it to India.
