Meizu is about to release a new High end smartphone in the market called as the Meizu Pro 7. The Pro 7 a successor to the Pro 6 which was released in April this year.
Meizu is moving fast, releasing a successor to their previous flagship in a short period of time. Meizu may not be one of the top players when it comes to Chinese OEMs, but they are working hard to change that. They yesterday launched two new smartphones the Meizu U10 and U20 in China with the infamous YunOS.
The Meizu Pro 7 is set to launch on September 13th of this year. The Meizu Pro 7 will come with the Samsung’s Edge display technology and will have a curved display like the recent Samsung Note 7. The phone has undergone the AnTuTu benchmark already and gives us a list of specifications to be found on all new Pro 7.
Meizu is having a tag line stating “Pro than Pro” for the MX7.
The phone flaunts a large 5.7 inch (2560×1440) QHD display. Surprisingly powering the phone is a Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset instead of Deca-core MediaTek X25 chipset, found on the Meizu Pro 6.
The Pro 7 sports 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 Gb of internal storage. The phone is said to flaunt a 12 MP rear camera along with a 5 MP front camera. All the specifications are quite similar to the Samsung Note 7 or S7 Edge.
The front also sports an oblong shaped home button with fingerprint sensor integrated in it. The front seems to be reminiscent of Samsung phones. The design looks stunning but has nothing original to offer.
Meizu PRO 7 to get the best of both worlds from Samsung and UI similar to IOS
The phone is expected to run on Android Marshmallow with Flyme OS skin on top. The Flyme OS is very similar to the iOS and brings the Android experience closer to the iOS.
The skin is feature packed and has an interesting take on the traditional navigation buttons. The Pro 7 will support all the basic sensors along with the basic connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G/LTE, 3G, GPS, GPRS and many more.
The back of the phone is still a mystery as some sources claims it to be similar like the Pro 6. If it’s true then as a whole it’ll look like a literal amalgamation of iPhone and Samsung from outside and inside as well.
It’s not the first company to use the dual edge display as the release of Xiaomi’s Mi Note is also near which is expected to sport similar display technology. Apparently Meizu has competition before its release.
