Xiaomi Mi 10i Launch On Amazon, Specs, Price, and Top Features
5-January-2021 – Xiaomi has today launched their first phone of 2021 in India the “Mi 10i”.
Xiaomi India Chief, Mr. Manu Kumar Jain, confirmed on Twitter that the ‘i’ in the name of the phone represents India and the phone is made for Indian buyers.
Notably, the Mi 10i is the same mobile that was launched in China and is called Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
Nevertheless, In the new year, Xiaomi is bringing something cheerful for the fans, who are looking for an excellent mid-range phone.
Let’s have a look at its top features and specs:
The Xiaomi Mi 10i comes with a 6.67 inch IPS LCD punch-hole display. For a smooth touch experience, it has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The adaptive refresh rate helps change the refresh rate based on the applications and help save energy.
Xiaomi is not going overboard and offering an AMOLED panel that can increase the price. But, instead, they plan to offer a great rear camera and fast performance.
The phone is a bit bulky, considering it weighs 215 grams.
To keep the performance snappy we have the Snapdragon 750G Octa-core processor fabricated on an 8nm chipset. It has got Adreno 619 GPU that offers excellent gaming performance and can run most mobile games with ease.
The 750G is a 5G capable processor that comes with Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU cores clocked up to 2.2GHz. The processor supports Sub-6 and mmWave, SA and NSA, and global 5G banding. India is a bit late for the 5G deployment but won’t hurt if you have a 5G phone.
The Snapdragon 750G is very close to the Snapdragon 765G in performance. The 765G is used in the OnePlus Nord and the Vivo V20 Pro 5G.
Let’s have a look at the Benchmark Scores for the Snapdragon 750G (Mi 10i)
|Benchmark Scores||Single Core||Multi-Core||Antutu|
Additionally, the device will come with 6 or 8 GB of Ram and have 128 GB internal storage.
Another highlight of the phone is it’s Quad rear camera setup that comes with a 108MP main camera. The secondary camera is likely an ultra-wide with an 8 MP lens.
Rest two cameras are 2MP (for macros and depth-sensing) and have limited usability. Furthermore, the mobile comes with a 16 MP selfie camera present in a tiny punch hole camera.
Other Specs and Features
Furthermore, it runs on the Android 10 Os and the MiUi 12. We hope Xiaomi will disable ads on this premium mid-range phone.
Also, the phone is said to have a 4820 mAH capacity battery along with 33 Watts Fast charging support. The Mi 10i will not have the frill features like Wireless charging or Water and dust resistant design.
And we are also hoping that the company will provide the fast charger in the box, unlike what they have done with the Mi 11.
Let’s have a quick look at the Specs for the Mi10i.

The smartphone will go on sale on Amazon and Mi.com from 7th Jan 2021 at 12:00 pm and will also be available in the Xiaomi Stores pan India.
The middle variant looks like a good deal if you want higher storage, there is no real benefit in the performance that you will see if you get more ram.
Also, there is Rs. 2000 off if you buy the mobile from Amazon using the ICICI credit card, which I think makes it a superb deal. So, you can literally buy it for Rs. 18,999
Thoughts On Mi 10i – Pros and Cons
The Mi 10i literally comes with an all-rounder performance, the pricing is also good from Xiaomi. It is an excellent phone and offers a fast experience with great battery life and excellent front and rear cameras.
However, it is a bit bulky weight of 214 grams, in comparison, the Vivo 20 Pro is very lightweight and thin. Even the Samsung Galaxy M51 that comes with a 7000 mAH battery weighs 213 grams.
The higher weight on the Mi 10i is due to the glass build as most other phones come with a poly-plastic build.
Secondly, the smartphone has an IPS LCD display (probably the biggest compromise that the company has done to keep the costs low). If Xiaomi would have used a Super AMOLED panel on the Mi 10i the price would have gone up by 3k to 4k.
We are getting a good value for money with the Mi 10i but it is not that it is superior to the rival offerings in each and every way and still cheaper.
Let’s do a detailed Specs comparison of the Mi 10i with the Samsung Galaxy M51, Oneplus Nord, and the Vivo V20 Pro.

Note – From the above table, one thing is cleared that Xiaomi Mi 10i becomes India’s most affordable 5G smartphone offering amazing features. But, I think Xiaomi should move to AMOLED screen for their upcoming smartphones at least in the 18K+ price range.
