Micromax Powerbank India Launch Details
Micromax after having a quiet 1st half of 2017 is venturing into a new space – power banks. The company today launched three new power banks MXAP1300, MXAPB1560 and MXAPB1040. Micromax has also recently launched the Evok Dual Note mobile on Flipkart.
As the name suggests, the MXAP13000 comes with 13000 mAH battery capacity, while the MXAPB150 comes with 15600 mAH battery capacity while the MXAPB1040 comes with 10,400 mAH battery capacity.
The new power banks from Micromax comes at a time when the company is not doing well due to a hypercompetitive scenario in the mobile space.
They recently launched the Micromax Dual 5 and the Bharat 2 4G VOLTE smartphone. But the reception has been lukewarm from the budget smartphone buyers who are more inclined towards Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Motorola.
Micromax has in the past ventured into new domains like Airconditioners, LED TVs and Laptops to expand its presence and diversify its portfolio.
The new power banks come with a unique design which is convex in shape, compared to the most brick-like design of power banks. The design looks refreshing and new and also makes it easy to hold and carry. There is even a rubberized coating to improve grip.
Micromax has stated that the batteries used in the power banks are sourced from LG Chem Cells and are top notch quality. The power bank comes with 2 USB ports with an output of 5V/2.1A and 5V/1A, and the input is 5V/2A.
It can charge two smartphones simultaneously. The Micromax power banks are BIS certified and come with a USB charging cable and a wall charger inside the box.
The Micromax MXAP 10400 is available on Amazon for Rs. 1119 while the MXAP 13600 is available for Rs 1250. The third variant is yet not listed on the e-commerce portal. The price for the MXAPB is expected to be Rs. 1499.
Micromax is venturing into new territories while the smartphone market faces stiff competition. It is a positive move by the brand to look for Blue Oceans.
