The new powerbanks from Micromax comes at a time when the company is not doing well due to hypercompetitive scenario in the mobile space.

Micromax has in the past ventured into new domains like Airconditioners, LED TVs and Laptops to expand its presence and diversify its portfolio.
The new powerbanks come with a unique design which is convex in shape, compated to the most brick like design of powerbanks. The design looks refreshing and new and also makes it easy to hold and carry. There is even a rubberized coating to improve grip.
Micromax has stated that the batteries used in the powerbanks are sourced from LG Chem Cells and are top notch quality. The powerbank comes with 2 USB ports with an output of 5V/2.1A and 5V/1A and the input is 5V/2A.
It can charge two smartphones simulatenously. The Micromax powerbanks are BIS certified and comes with a USB charging cable and a wall charger inside the box.
The Micromax MXAP 10400 is available on Amazon for Rs. 1119 while the MXAP 13600 is available for Rs 1250. The third variant is yet not listed on the ecommerce portal. The price for the MXAPB is expected to be Rs. 1499.
Micromax is venturing into new territories while the smartphone market face stiff competition. It is a positive move by the brand to look for Blue Oceans.
