The devices are built to offer versatility, portability, and speed. These new additions will allow users to be more productive.

The gadgets are intended for students and professionals working from home due to the pandemic.

Let’s check the specification, price, and availability details for newly launched Surface books.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ (Price 78,990)

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus tablet is available in India with a starting price of INR 78,740. It is available in Platinum color and Matte Black, and it comes with a powerful processor and excellent display.

For starters, the new Microsoft tablet comes with a 12.30 inches touch-enabled display with a 2736*1824p resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio. Also, it has 267 PPI and 10 point multi-touch.

It runs Windows 10 Pro operating system. In addition, it has pre-loaded Microsoft 365 apps. The battery life is up to 15 hours; however, it depends on usage.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus

Powering the 2-in-1 tablet is the Intel 11th Gen Core processor.

Intel Core i3-1115G4 chipset:

The Intel Core i3 has 2 cores and 4 threads architecture with 6 MB Intel smart cache memory. It clocks at 3.00 GHz and can boost upto 4.10 GHz. This model with WiFi connectivity weighs 770g.

Intel Core i5-1135G7 chipset:

The Core i5 clocks at 2.40 GHz and has up to 4.20 GHz of maximum turbo boost frequency. It has 4 cores and 8 threads with an 8 MB cache. The Core i5 variant weighs 770g (WiFi) and 796g (4G).

Intel Core i7-1165G7 chipset:

The quad-core i7 processor clocks at 2.80 GHz and can boost up to 4.70 GHz. It has 8 threads and a 12 MB cache. This variant weighs 784g and comes with WiFi connectivity.

Further, the Core i3 processor packs integrated UHD graphics, whereas the Core i5 and Core i7 have Intel Iris Xe graphics cards.

It pairs up to 16 GB LPDDR4x RAM (WiFi or 4G) and up to 32 GB LPDDR4x with WiFi variants. It has upto 512 GB SSD for storage, and the convertible laptop comes with a removable SSD.

The port section includes – 2* USB 3.0 Type-A, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, multi-card slot, and 3.5 mm headphone/microphone jack port. Also, it supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.

Microsoft has launched Surface Pro 8 recently in India and claims it as the powerpack laptop with the flexibility of the tablet. Also, it has an iconic built-in kickstand and a detachable keyboard. The device is the first Surface Pro built on the Intel Evo platform.

The convertible touch screen 2-in-1 Surface Pro 8 is available online with a starting price of Rs. 1,20,990 and in Black color.

The latest Intel 11th Gen Core processor is powering the device. Surface Pro 8 is available in two configurations.

The base model has Core i5-1135G7 that clocks at 2.40 GHz and can boost up to 4.20 GHz. It has 4 cores and 8 threads architecture. Another variant comes with a Core i7-1185G7 chipset with 4 cores and 8 threads. Also, it has a 3 GHz base clock and up to 4.80 GHz maximum turbo boost frequency.

Furthermore, it runs the latest Windows 11 operating system.

The tablet features a 13 inches touch-enabled PixelSense display with 2880*1920p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Also, it has 267 PPI and 10 point multi-touch. Microsoft has added a new model to the Surface lineup by launching Microsoft Surface Laptop Go in India. The laptop comes with a non-detachable keyboard unlike, that of the Surface Go tablets.

It is the lightest and most affordable Surface laptop.

The Surface Laptop Go sports a 12.4 inches touchscreen PixelSense Display with 1536 * 1024 pixels resolution. It has a 3:2 screen ratio. It runs on Windows 10 Home (S-Mode) OS.

Powering the laptop is a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor – 4 cores/8 threads with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.60 Hz. It has been loaded with an integrated GPU.

The device arrives with up to 16 GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB SSD storage. It has a full-size non-backlit keyboard. The Surface Go laptop supports fast charging, and the battery claims to last up to 13 hours on a single charge.

Moreover, it includes a 720p HD (f/2.0) web camera, OmniSonic speakers with Dolby Audio, and one Touch sign-in with fingerprint reader power button. However, the base model does not support a fingerprint sensor.

The ports include – USB Type-C, USB Type-A, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a Surface connect port. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 LE.

The lightest Microsoft laptop weighs only 1.11 kg and has a thickness of 15.69 mm.

It will be available with a no-cost EMI option for up to nine months with INR 8000/month.

Microsoft has released its first-ever Windows 11 loaded two-in-one Tablet in India – Microsoft Surface Go 3. The Surface Go 3 is quite similar to its predecessor Surface Go 2.

However, the company claims that the newly arrived machine will deliver 60% faster performance, all thanks to Intel’s 10th gen processor.

Let’s dive into the specification offered by Microsoft’s tablet.

Commencing with the display, it comes with 10.5 inches touch display with 1920*1280p resolution. The screen has a 3:2 aspect ratio. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It runs Windows 11 operating system.

Moreover, the Surface Go 3 comes with two different processor configurations.

  • Intel 10th gen Core i3-10100Y
  • Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y

Both the models have up to 8 GB RAM and up to 128 GB SSD storage. It has a 5 MP front and 8 MP rear camera.

Some notable features are WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, and LTE connectivity.

Further, as per Microsoft, we can get up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. It weighs 544 grams.

For better audio, it has a studio-grade microphone and Dolby audio sound technology.

Notably, it has built-in Microsoft security and also comes with a digital pen.

The Pentium Gold with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD with a price tag of INR 57,99 is available on Amazon India for pre-orders.

The pre-ordering customers will get a complimentary Surface pen (INR 9,699).

Microsoft Surface Go 2 (Tablet – 10.5 Inch)

We don’t have much choice when it comes to high-end tablets. Either you can buy the iPad (iPad Os) or the Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android). The Microsoft Surface Go 2 brings more choices to consumers looking for tablets to runs on Windows.

The Surface Go 2 comes with Windows 10 S Mode. The S-Mode offers heightened security but comes with some limitations, like using Windows Powershell or installing third-party apps that are not available in the Microsoft Windows Store.

The Surface Go 2 has a similar design as its predecessor, although the new model comes with slim bezels.

The full HD PixelSense display measures 10.5 inches with 1920 * 1280 Pixels resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The 3:2 aspect ratio is excellent for working on Microsoft Office Apps.

The tablet comes with options for Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y chipset OR the 8th gen Intel Core M3 processor at the processor side. This is not comparable to the iPad Air’s A14 that can blow socks off these Intel processors.

The surface tablet comes with an 8 MP rear camera ideal for imaging and comes with a special App that enables scanning documents.

The product is paired with a Surface Pen that is ideal for creative professionals or even writing notes.

It has 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio premium support.

The Surface Go 2 weighs 544 g without the keyboard cover.

After a month of global launch, Microsoft has launched the Microsoft Laptop Surface 4 in India.

The design of the Notebook is similar to the previous version and it is available in Platinum and Black colors with Alcantara or Metallic build.

There are two models offered by the company – 13.5 inches and 15 inches with a 3:2 PixelSense touchscreen display.

The firm states that the smaller model has productivity and portability, whereas the 15 inch is good for multi-tasking.

The latest Microsoft laptop comes with two processor configuration:

Intel 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7 – clocks at 2.40 GHz and has a maximum frequency of 4.20 GHz. It has 4 cores and 8 threads with 8 MB cache memory and is based on the 10 nm SuperFin manufacturing process.

The 13.5-inch model is available with a Tiger Lake processor and has a starting price of INR 1,51,999.

AMD Ryzen 4000 series offers two models with Ryzen 5 4680U – 2.1 GHz base clock and 4.0 GHz maximum turbo boost. It has 6 cores and 12 threads. This model is available with a starting price of INR 1,02,999 (13.5 inches).

Another, Ryzen 7 4980U clocks at 2.0 GHz and can be boosted up to 4.4 GHz and has 8 cores/ 16 threads.

This particular variant is available in India with a starting price tag of INR 1,34999 (15 inches).

These processors are manufactured on the 7nm process based on the Renoir architecture. These chipsets are specially built for thin and light laptops.

Furthermore, the laptops are backed by Radeon Graphics for handling graphic-intensive tasks.

Moreover, you can buy the Surface Book with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of SSD storage.

It has Omnisonic speakers supported by Dolby Atmos.

Additionally, there is a microphone array and an HD front webcam with low-light capability.

We have got a standard backlit keyboard with a large trackpad.

The Notebook also supports Windows Hello Face authentication.

The Intel i5 model is expensive but comes with 16 Gigs of Ram, but considering the higher price, I will suggest you opt for the AMD Ryzen models that offer excellent performance and are also cheaper.

You can buy the 13.5-inch model if you need more portability (1.26 Kg weight) and want to do lighter tasks.

The 15-inch model is best suited for heavy workloads, but it’s not too heavy (1.54 Kg).

Surface Book 3 comes with a detachable 2-in-1 form factor. The Notebook is available in two different sizes of 13.5 inches and 15 inches.

However, the new Surface Book pricing looks ridiculously high in India. Even in comparison to the Apple Macbook Air and Pro M1 that comes with the new cutting edge Apple silicon chip.

The Microsoft Surface Book 3 is meant for content creators and comes with 16 gigs of Ram and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q, Intel Core i7 processor.
