Motorola has unveiled the Motorola Moto E3 in Great Britain today and the new smartphone comes with some of the much needed upgrades. The Moto E 3rd Gen is priced at £99 (Rs. 8800). The smartphone will go on sale in September 2016 in the UK and is also expected to launch in India likely in late August or September 2016.
Design is not entirely new and it comes with some of the elements drawn from Motorola Moto G4 while some design elements still have the resemblance to the old Moto E design, like the distinctive speaker grill which is also present on the Motorola Moto E 2nd Generation.
The rear side of the smartphone with matte grey finish and curved Motorola Logo, camera module design and the contoured edges are identical to the Motorola Moto G4.
The all new Motorola Moto E comes with a larger display and an even larger battery capacity.
Motorola has increased the screen size of the Moto G this year from 5.0 inch to 5.5 inch and there is a similar strategy they are following for the Moto E.
The Moto E screen size will be increased to 5.0 inch from the current 4.5 inches. The display resolution is also going to be increased to HD (1280*720) pixels with 293 ppi.
The smartphone as per the report is powered by a Quad-Core processor , however Motorola has yet not shared the processor details with media. The smartphone is also expected to come with 2 GB of Ram.
The Moto E3 2016 will come with Gorilla glass protection and is also going to have spill proof build (it will not be a water and dust proof smartphone). Motorola is also going to have an Olephobic coating on the front display to ensure less smudge.
The Motorola Moto E 3rd Gen will come with the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS along with the least amount of bloat and customization from Motorola. The smartphone will not have a fingerprint scanner as per the current reports.
Moto E3 To offer Much Better Camera Quality
The Moto E3 2016 also has dual sim support and will also come with 4G LTE connectivity along with standard connectivity options. The storage space is expected to be 16 GB which will be expandable upto 128 GB using a micro-sd card.
The Moto E3 offers better camera compared to the current Gen Moto E. It will come with an 8 Megapixel rear camera and a 5 Megapixel front camera to click selfies. The major reason for the lack of success for the Moto E 2nd Generation was the pathetic 5 MP rear and 0.3 MP front camera which lacked the competition by a mile.
Motorola is set to get the camera properties right this time and we can expect a much better performance when the smartphone arrives.
The smartphone is going to be priced a bit higher compared to the earlier generation of MoTo E smartphones and can be in the range of Rs. 8000 to Rs . 10,000 when it gets launched in India.
