Moto E4 Launched Specs Price Availability Details

Motorola quietly listed the new Moto E4 smartphone on its official blog along with the Moto E4 Plus on 13 June 2017. Both the smartphones come with latest Android OS and have a similar design.

Update -03-July-2017 – As per the recent information from a Mumbai-based retailer (Mahesh Telecom) the Moto E4 is priced at Rs. 8,999 in the Indian market and Motorola has already sent the stock to some of the key retail outlets. The smartphone will also get launched online in a couple of days.

Unfortunately, the smartphone in India comes with MediaTek 6737 Quad Core processor while in the US and Europe Motorola has shipped the device with Snapdragon 425 or 427 processor. The smartphone comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.

The Moto E4 Plus also offers an incredibly large battery capacity along with improved hardware specs compared to the Moto E4.

Motorola Moto E4

The Moto E4 is the cheaper sibling which comes with 5.0 Inch HD Display (1280*720) pixels with 283 PPI.

The smartphone comes with 2.5D curved glass on top of the display, and there is an oval home button at the front. There is a fingerprint scanner also embedded in the Home Button for quick unlocking of the device.

The Moto E4 carries the same design like the Moto G5 with metallic rear cover. The smartphone has a large camera dial at the back without any bumps.

The Moto E4 is powered by the Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 427 depending on the country (India has Mediatek 6737 Processor). There is 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage which can be expanded by using a micro-sd card.

The Moto E4 comes with Android Nougat 7.1 and may get the Android O update as well.

The smartphone comes with an 8 Megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and there is a front facing 5 Megapixel camera to click selfies. There is also a dedicated front flash to improve low-light selfies.

The smartphone comes with 2800 mAH capacity battery with quick charge support and has a 5W charger. The smartphone has 4G LTE and VOLTE support along with native 3G /2G connectivity options.

The Moto E4 has 9.4 mm thickness and weighs 150 grams. The Moto E4 is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 16 GB storage and 2 GB RAM version in India and will be available to purchase in couple of days.

Early Leaks and Details for Motorola Moto E4

The upcoming Motorola budget smartphone has made an appearance to the GeekBench and some of the specs details for the device has got leaked.

As per the leaks, the smartphone will run on the MediaTek 6737 Quad-Core processor and will come with the latest Android Nougat 7.0 update. The MTK 6737 is clocked at 1.25 GHz and is not one of the best SOC’s. The processor was used in the much expensive Asus Zenfone 3 Max and it scored close to 30,000 in the Antutu benchmark.

The Geekbench score is 551 for the single core test while the multi-core test score is 1514.  We can expect the smartphone to get released in May 2017 as the current Moto E series is not doing too well to compete in the market under 8K price range.

Motorola launched the Moto E3 Power in India MOTO E3 Power Launched on Flipkart Price Rs 7999 which is now available for Rs 500 cheaper for Rs 7499.  We can expect a sub 8K price for the Moto E4. The Moto E3 Power came with the Mediatek 6735 Quad Core processor and 2 GB of Ram with HD display and a large 3500 mAH capacity battery.

The Moto E4 2017 also as per the Geekbench will come with 2 GB of Ram and will also likely sport a 5-inch display with HD resolution.

Recently Motorola Moto C Series was also spotted which is going to be even cheaper when compared to the Moto E4. The series will come with pricing close to Rs. 5000 to Rs 6000 and is expected to launch next month.

Some time back the press renders for the Moto E4 was also leaked and it showcased a Moto G5 like design with a large round camera at the back and a front flash for clicking better selfies.  The smartphone is expected to come with a metallic back cover this time around and will be an upgrade to the poly-plastic build.
