Motorola has unveiled the two new phones Moto G5s Plus and the Moto G5s which offers better cameras compared to the predecessors.

Both the Moto G5s Plus and G5s come with exquisite design and carefully crafted metal unibody design from a single piece of aluminum. The phones look similar to the predecessors though comes with a slight change to antenna design.
There is also an addition of 2.5D Curve glass on top of the display which was not there earlier on the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, making the new phone look more premium.
Moto G5s Plus Specs, launch, Price, Camera details
The Moto G5s Plus comes with all new exciting dual rear camera set-up a first for any mid-range Motorola smartphone. While the Moto G5 plus came with a 12 MP f/1.7 camera which is excellent for photography, Motorola this time has upped the game with the new Moto G5s Plus.
The Moto G5s Plus offers Dual rear cameras with 13 Megapixel lenses and a special image optimization software to enhance the final image clicked by both the lenses. There is a new selective focus mode which allows you to click better portrait shots with a good background blur.
You can even click detailed images in black and white mode and even have the ability to change the background, some nifty features to add to the camera.
The rear camera has a f/2.0 aperture lens. It also has the ability to record 4K videos.
At the front side, it comes with an 8 Megapixel selfie camera f/2.2 aperture lens, with a soft flash to click better selfies in all light conditions. There is also a panoramic mode to capture wider shots using the front camera.
Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm SD 625 Processor with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and is also paired with the Adreno 506 GPU to take care of gaming/multimedia needs.
The G5s plus has a gorgeous 5.5 Inch Full HD Display with 401 PPI and 2.5D Curve glass on top of the screen. There is support for 4G LTE as well as VOLTE for the Moto G5s Plus and G5s to ensure faster data connectivity.
The mobile comes with 3000 mAH capacity battery and there is also turbocharging support which can charge the Moto at a very rapid pace.
Lastly, it runs on the Android Nougat 7 along with the near stock experience. Further, they come with two new features – the night reading mode and the quick reply function.
The Moto G5s Plus costs Euro 299 or Rs. 22,000 in the Indian Rupee and is already available in Europe. However, India launch is likely to happen in August 2017.
Moto G5s Specs, Price Launch, Camera and Features
The Moto G5s comes with a similar design and software, sans the dual rear camera on the Moto G5s Plus.
Instead, the Moto G5s comes with a single High Megapixel (16 MP) camera along with PDAF (phase detection autofocus). The camera comes with an improved auto-focus system to capture the subjects quickly.
The front camera on the Moto G5s is also different when compared to the Moto G5s Plus, it comes with a 5 Megapixel wide angle lens, instead of an 8 Megapixel selfie shooter on the G5s Plus.
For starter, it comes with a slightly smaller display with 5.2 Inch screen size and offers Full HD resolution (1920*1080) pixels.
Performance and Battery
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm SD 430 Processor which has the highest clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Additionally, it comes with a 3 GB of ram and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 128 GB using the micro-sd card.
Besides, it comes with 3000 mAH capacity battery which is similar to the larger Moto G5s Plus. Ideally, Motorola would have made the G5s a bit thicker compared to G5s plus.
Furthermore, the phone comes with 4G LTE / Volte, fingerprint scanner, night mode and quick reply features. The smartphone also runs on the latest Android Nougat OS and offers near stock experience.
It is available for Euro 249 and will ship in August’17. In terms of Indian pricing, it converts to Rs. 18,500 but we can expect a bit lower price for both the models going by the past experience with Motorola.
