Moto M is the first smartphone in the M Series of devices from Lenovo. The mobile offers a refreshing new design in comparison to the more basic design of Moto G4 series. Moto G4 Plus is priced at Rs. 14,999 and is priced below the Motorola Moto M.
Moto M looks premium with its all-metal body and a 2.5 D curved glass covering the display. The Moto branding sits at the chin, though there are no off-screen buttons. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back, unlike the Moto G4 Plus which has a square fingerprint at the front.
Moto M comes with a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display. It runs on all new 64-bit MediaTek Helio P15 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. After Moto E3 Power, its the second Moto device running on a MediaTek chipset.
Additionally, it comes with 3 GB /4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM depending on the model.
Moto M comes with 32 GB /64 GB of internal storage with expandability option upto 128 GB. Moto M doesn’t have dedicated micro SD card slot like the Moto G4 Plus. The phone has a hybrid dual sim slot.
Camera and Battery
For imaging, it comes with a 16 MP rear camera f/2.0 aperture along with dual LED flash and there is an 8 MP front selfie camera.
Also, there is a decent 3050 mAh battery capacity which supports Motorola’s Turbo Charging feature. Furthermore, the Moto M comes with the modern USB type-C port.

Moreover, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and but may get updated to the Android Nougat 7.0.
It has all the basic sensors and connectivity options including 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, NFC, etc.
The mobile measures 151.4 x 75.4 x 7.9 mm dimensions and weighs 163 grams. Notably, it is available in the Gold and white color currently on Flipkart.
The phone seems to be a decent option when compared to its competitors like Moto G4 Plus, Samsung On Nxt but doesn’t overshadow Lenovo’s own Zuk Z2 Plus.
