Motorola, after being acquired by Lenovo, has been quite successful in gaining a significant market share in the Indian smartphone market. Motorola just updated their one of the most selling Moto G series with Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4.

It has been doing good sales since its launch just like its predecessor Moto G3. Motorola is yet to launch its budget smartphone Moto E (2016) and the recently announced flagship products, the Moto Z and the Moto Z force in India, but in between of all these speculations, a mid range smartphone by the Moto which can be a possible successor of the Moto X Play (2015) is doing the rounds on the internet, which will be supposedly called the Moto Z Play.

Motorola Moto Z Play

The Moto Z Play was recently listed in the Chinese TENAA where the specs and the pictures upcoming mobile got leaked. It has a big 5.5-inch 1080p display; with a 16 MP rear camera (with 4K recording and OIS), a 5 MP front camera for better selfies and a generous 3,510 mAh battery.

The chipset powering the Moto Z play will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 , the first chipset in Snapdragon 600 series built with 14nm FinFet process and a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU.It might come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will come up with a quick update to Android 7.0 Nougat too.

There might be few different versions of the phone when it is launched like 16GB of internal storage with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with 3GB of RAM. Since it’s a mid-range product, it’s unlikely to support a huge internal storage of 64 or 128 GB.
