Nokia unveiled 3 new smartphones at the recent MWC 2017 in late Feb. There are in total 4 smartphones which are launched by the Finnish Tech giant – Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 3310.

There are now rumors that Nokia is working on some more mid-range smartphones to come after June 2017. As per a recent report from the Nokia power users, Nokia is working on the more powerful devices.
The new Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 are expected to be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa Core Processor. The new Octa Core Snapdragon 660 will be based on 14 Nm energy efficient process and will have support for Dual Camera setup and 6 GB RAM. It is also pointed that the SD 660 will have support for the advanced CAT 12 LTE modem to offer superior 4G speeds.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is also expected to launch with a Snapdragon 660 processor along with the Adreno 512 GPU.
The Nokia 7 is alleged to be a 5.5 Inch smartphone which will have a Full HD resolution (1920*1080) with 401 PPi. The smartphone will be powered by the SD 660 which can be clocked at 2.0 to 2.2 GHz. The Nokia 7 will run on the Android Nougat 7.0 like the Nokia 6 and rest of the series.
The smartphone will also have a decent rear camera could be a Carl Zeiss comeback. The device will also have support for NFC and Fast Charging and a quick Fingerprint scanner. The device can come with 32 GB /64 GB of internal storage which will be expandable.
On the other hand there is Nokia 8 which is also to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and can come with a larger display. It will come with a 5.7 – to 6.0 inch display with Quad HD resolution AMOLED screen. This will be a more expensive device and can cost close to $500.
The smartphone will also feature similar features and a premium metallic build. Nokia is unlikely to use a glass body as the focus for the brand has been durability. They used a special Aluminum 6000 material for the Nokia 6 (same material is used on the Moto G5 Plus.)
That’s all the details which are available so far for the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8. Nokia is also planning to launched the Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 in India starting June 2017. Update – Nokia has actually launched the Nokia 8 mobile as a flagship from the company and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with 4 GB of Ram.
The Nokia 8 is priced similar to the recently launched OnePlus 5 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix2 which competes in the Sub 40K price range.
