OnePlus 3T Snapdragon 821 and Android Nougat 7.0 Coming Soon

New reports are making it more evident that OnePlus may launch a refreshed version of the OnePlus 3 named as “OnePlus 3T” . Recently OnePlus launched a new color for the OnePlus 3 in the Indian market. It is known as OnePlus 3 Soft gold  priced at Rs. 27,999.

OnePlus 3 was launched in June 2016, and it is a huge success. Mostly due its premium built quality, ultra fast Snapdragon 820 processor and 6 GB RAM. All of that for just $400 or Rs. 27,999 makes it ultimate flagship at reasonable price.

OnePlus 3T Snapdragon 821 and Android Nougat 7.0 Coming Soon

Carl Pei (CEO of OnePlus) has hinted towards a minor upgrade to the existing OnePlus 3 and it is supposed to be called as the OnePlus 3T. The new smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor which is about 10 % faster in comparison to the Snapdragon 820.

The Snapdragon 820 has two Kryo cores running at 2.2 GHz and two Kryo cores running at 1.6 GHz whereas the Snapdragon 821 has 2 Kryo cores running at 2.4 GHz and 2 Kryo cores running at 2.0 GHz.

Both of them uses the same GPU – Adreno 530. The Snapdragon 821 processor also powers the recently launched Google Pixel phones and Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra.

The other notable upgrade that the phone will get is Android Nougat 7.0, out of the box.  It will optimize the smartphone for better performance and battery life and will add up new features like Google Assistant.

Other than these 2 major changes rest everything is expected to be same for the upcoming Oneplus 3T.  The OnePlus 3T will have same Amoled Display, Unibody metal design, 6 GB RAM and camera on front and back.

The company might launch new color variant with this new model but its yet to be confirmed.

The device is certified in China with the model number A3010 and it might launch sooner than expected. Definitely it is a positive move by OnePlus to include the latest processor and Android 7.0 OS on the upcoming smartphone, a great news for the OnePlus fans worldwide if the smartphone gets released soon.

The price may also increase a bit considering the Snapdragon 821 will cost a bit more to acquire, but there is no final word yet, so you might like to take all the above information with a pinch of salt.
