Oppo has launched the new Oppo F3 Plus Dual Selfie camera mobile in the Indian market today priced at Rs 30,499. There was a star studded event which took place in Delhi, with Deepika Padukone being the celebrity endorsing the brand.
Alden Richards and Joey Mead were also present at the event.
Though there is definitely superior front and rear camera. There rival Vivo recently launched the Vivo V5 Plus in the Indian market also with Dual selfie camera priced at Rs. 27,499.
The new Oppo F3 Plus will be available from April 1st and will go on pre-orders tonite. The smartphone will be available from brick and mortar stores as well as online.
The new Oppo F3 Plus comes in 2 color variants – Black and Gold.
Chinese smartphone vendor, Oppo has been launching smartphones on a regular basis. The company recently became the India’s fourth largest smartphone vendor.
Oppo, in recent times, has been teasing a smartphone, namely, the Oppo F3 Plus. The F3 Plus is Oppo’s first smartphone to feature a dual front-facing camera.
Oppo, today made the smartphone official along with the complete specifications and pricing.
Oppo F3 Plus
Going by the specifications, we must say that the Oppo F3 Plus is the bumped up variant of the Oppo R9s in many ways. The F3 Plus features a very large 6-inch 1080 p display with 2.5 D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Design wise it don’t come with anything new, it is the same old design which we have seen on several oppo selfie smartphones. Though this time the Antenna lines at the back comes in 2 bands of 3 lines each to create a distinct look.
The metallic uni-body design and the white front panel offers classy looks despite a more familiar design.
The front side has a oblong shaped home button which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner uses an hydrophobic membrane which helps the device to get unlocked even with moist fingers.
Oppo has gone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC (MSM8976 PRO) to power F3 Plus, which is an octa-core chip with four Cortex A72 cores and four Cortex A53 cores.
The phone gets 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage with support for storage expansion via hybrid micro-SD card slot.
Dual Selfie Camera – Coming to highlight feature of the Oppo F3 Plus, it comes employed with a dual front-facing camera, same as the one seen on Vivo V5 Plus, but Oppo’s implementation is different here.
The F3 Plus has a standard 16 MP standard sensor which comes with f/2.0 aperture to capture decent selfies even in the low light conditions. There is also an 8 MP wide angle sensor upfront, which has the capability to capture 120° wide angle shots.
Specially helpful in capturing group selfies.
On the rear side of the phone, Oppo has added a 16 MP Sony IMX 398 sensor, same as the Oppo R9s. Oppo claims that the rear camera sensor is developed by Sony exclusively for Oppo.
The rear camera comes with support for PDAF, LED flash light, and a larger f/1.7 aperture for capturing detailed shots.
The Oppo F3 Plus is backed with a 4000 mAH battery, which also has support for the Oppo’s proprietary VOOC Fast Charging technology.
It’s good to see Oppo stepping into the battery segment as well. Finally, the smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Color OS 3.0, and there is no information related to Android Nougat update, though.
It is a bit of a shame, to not come with Android Nougat in a premium device like Oppo F3 Plus even after 5 months of release of the OS.
The smartphone has 7.35 mm thickness which is not too much considering the large screen size. It weighs 185 grams.
Considering the weight and the large display it is not really portable and you would be using this large phone mostly with both hands.
The price looks bit expensive considering the phone comes with mid-range processor. Though there is definitely superior front and rear camera.
