Oppo has launched two new smartphones in its R series, Oppo R7 plus and Oppo R7 lite. The Oppo R7 plus is a flagship smartphone, and the later is the watered down version of R7 plus.
Both the smartphones look almost identical with their Metal unibody design made of magnesium alloy. Oppo some time back also introduced the Oppo Mirror 5s and Oppo Neo 5.
On the software side, both run on Android Lollipop customized by the Color OS 2.1.
Notably, Oppo R7 Plus and Oppo R7 lite have some of the similar specs such as storage, camera, and processor.
Also, the Oppo R7 plus has some of the major advantages over the Oppo R7 lite like more battery capacity and RAM and the fingerprint scanner.
Oppo R7 Plus
The Dual Sim Oppo R7 plus comes with a Full HD display (1920*1080) on a 6.0-inch screen(`367 PPI). The display is super AMOLED type with 2.5D Arc Edge screen. Further, the screen is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3.
Next, the phone is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with the Adreno 405 GPU.
The processor is supported by 3 GB of Ram that is adequate for playing Android games and multitasking.
For photography, the mobile comes with a 13 MP primary camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, laser autofocus, and dual led flash support.
For the front, the phone has an 8 MP sensor camera, which can take some cool selfies.
Notably, the phone is said to create image quality of 50 MP resolution by utilizing the pure image 2.0 technology.
The Oppo R7 plus features VOOC Flash charge technology which is similar to Qualcomm’s Quick charge 2.0, but the oppo’s flash charge is faster than Quick Charge 2.0.
It takes only 90 minutes to charge the Oppo R7 plus’s 4100 mAh battery completely.
The smartphone has support for 4G LTE and also support the native 3G and 2G data connectivity.
Further, it weighs 192 grams and is 7.8 mm thick, considering the 6-inch screen size the phone is quite thinner.
Also, the device has inbuilt 32 GB of storage that can be expanded to 128 GB using a micro-sd card.
The R7 Plus will be available in Golden and Silver colors when it goes on sale.
Oppo R7 lite
As the name implies, the Oppo R7 lite is a toned down version of Oppo R7 plus.
The phone comes with a 5 inch HD (1280*720) pixels AMOLED display protected by Corning’s Gorilla glass 3.
The Oppo R7 lite also has the same Snapdragon 615 chipset with eight cores like R7 Plus, but has only 2 GB RAM, instead of 3 GB.
The internal storage is also 16 GB and comes with micro SD card expansion.
Likewise, the Oppo R7 lite also has the VOOC flash charging system and is backed by a smaller 2320 mAh non-removable battery.
Similar to the R7 plus the Lite version has a 13 MP rear and 8 MP front camera, but it lacks the Laser autofocus and pure image 2.0 technology.
Furthermore, the Oppo R7 Lite has the latest Android Lollipop 5.1 OS along with the Color OS 2.1. Additionally, it comes with Dual Sim and 4G LTE support.
Lastly, the Oppo R7 plus is priced 29,990 INR, and the Oppo R7 lite is priced at 17990, both the smartphones are expected to go on sale before the end of this month
