Panasonic continues to launch new smartphones in the Indian market and despite low interest online in Panasonic phones company is pushing hard to establish themselves in the over competitive market.
Competitors such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and the new entrant LeEco have been able to attract a lot of customers by aggressive pricing strategy which Panasonic has not been able to do.
The all new Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 is priced at Rs. 12,290. The phone offers a dual glass body with a metal rim around the corner. The phone looks stunning with it’s 2.5D curved glass display.
Both the sides have glass finish and is protected by Asahi Dragon trail Glass to ensure scratch resistance. It looks reminiscent to OnePlus X and the new release LYF Water 8 with similar glass back design.
Panasonic Eluga Arc 2 comes with 5 inch IPS HD (1280×720) with 293 PPI display. The display is decent and comes with 500 nits brightness to ensure better outdoor visibility.
The phone features (an unknown) Quad core processor clocked at 1.3 Ghz and is paired with 3 GB of RAM. The phone offers 32 GB of internal storage with expansion option upto 128 GB using the micro-Sd card slot.
Comparing it to the Moto G4, the G4 comes with dedicated sd card slot, rather than the hybrid slot on the Eluga Arc 2.
The Eluga Arc 2 flaunts an 8 Mp rear camera (which is a bit low in this price range) with a single LED flash and a 5 Mp front camera.
The phone runs on 2450 mAh battery pack. The capacity looks to be even smaller than what the dated OnePlus X and the Moto G Gen 3 has to offer.
Surprisingly the phone has one feature up its sleeves in the software department. The Arc 2 features latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 version and it offers bloat-free user experience.
Although the phone features FM Radio and an IR blaster, which will be liked by most of the users.
It sports all the connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and also the 4G LTE with VoLTE and USB OTG. It is surely future proof as far as the connectivity options are concerned.
The phone is been priced at Rs. 12,290 and will be available in two color options, Gold, and Rose Gold.
The phone surely misses out on fast charging, fingerprint sensor which is quite absurd as its predecessor did feature a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will face competition from Moto G4, Leeco Le 2, Redmi Note 3, the all-new Lenovo Vibe K5 Note as well.
The Arc 2 has an aesthetic design but somehow lacks features which make it harder for people to choose it over its full-fledged competitors.
