You can get Rs. 1000 discount on purchase using the HDFC credit or debit card, I will also try to get the review unit in the first sale for an in-depth comparison with other phones I have.

Also, the brand has launched the Realme C2, price Rs. 6000 for entry segment.

The Realme 3 Pro is one of the most anticipated phones in the sub 15k segment, and frankly, it packs a ton of features and specs to take the crown of the top phone in this range. The only true rival is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Design and Display

The Realme 3 Pro is a head turner provided you don’t spoil the looks with a case. It comes with a polycarbonate back panel which is glossy and fingerprint magnet.

It comes with a unique Le-mans inspired Speedway pattern at the back side which enhances the looks of the dual tone back cover.

The phone is not very thick, measures 8.3 mm and weighs 172 grams.

The RM3 Pro comes with a 6.3 Inch Full HD+ display (2340*1080) pixels with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

OS & other Traits

The Realme 3 Pro comes with the Color OS 6.0  and the latest Android Pie 9.0 out of the box.

While the Color OS has plenty of options, it is not as vanilla or fluid as the stock Android.

The significant advantage of Color OS is tons of customizations and features that you have over the stock Android.

Also, it is Ads free unlike the MIUI 10 on the RN7 Pro.

Performance

Powering the device is the incredible Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core Processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz.

There is Adreno 616 GPU which is better than the 612 GPU on the RN7 Pro. Benchmark Score Antutu is close to 1.5 lakh which is lower than the 1.8 lakhs of RN7 Pro.

However, the GPU score is higher which means that you will have a slight edge when gaming on the Snapdragon 710.

Another difference is the manufacturing process, and the SD 710 uses the 10 Nm process while the SD 675 (RN7 Pro) uses the 11 Nm manufacturing process.

Apart from playing PUBG, you can also play Fortnite on the Realme 3 Pro which is currently not possible on the SD 675 based RN7 Pro.

Cameras

For photography, it comes with Dual 16+5 Megapixel camera set up at the back.

The primary 16 MP camera uses the Sony IMX519 flagship image sensor (also used in Oneplus 6T) and offers a considerable amount of details and dynamic range in images.

It has 1.22-micron pixel size and has an f/1.7 aperture to capture good images in low or artificial light conditions.

Also, has Dual Pixel Fast Focus, Nightscape, Ultra HD (64 MP Mode), Chroma Boost, Pro Mode and Portrait Mode.

The rear camera can record upto 4K videos at 30 FPS and also has 960 FPS slow motion support.

There is EIS for 1080P videos, and you can even create hyper-lapse using the camera.

The camera App has tons of features that we have also seen on the Realme 2 Pro.

For selfies, it comes with a 25 Megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and large 1.8-micron pixel size.

Also, the front camera offers AI Beauty mode, HDR and Face recognition.

Battery Life and Fast Charging

The phone comes with a massive 4045 mAH capacity battery which can easily last all day on mixed or heavy usage.

The cherry on the cake is 5V and 4A (20 Watts) Fast charger (micro-USB) that comes bundled with the phone. It can charge the device up to 50% in about 30 minutes. Impressive!

More Features

Aforementioned there is a dedicated micro-sd card slot which is missing on many rival phones. Also, we get Bluetooth 5.0, 5GHz WIFI support and Dual 4G VOLTE support.

Also, the phone has 4/6 GB of DDR4 Ram and 64/128 GB of internal storage space, expandable upto 256 GB.

Concluding Thoughts

The Realme 3 Pro is a fantastic phone and builds upon the success of Realme 2 Pro. There is nearly everything fans can ask for in the new Realme phone and that too at an affordable price tag.

A couple of nit pickings- it lacks the USB Type C Port but does come with super fast VOOC charging, and you are not going to find any possible disadvantage of not having the Type C on this device.

The build is poly-carbonate and is prone to micro-scratches and fingerprint marks. Most mid-range phones are polyplastic these days, and the benefit is that these don’t get hot quickly.

Should You Buy the Realme 3 Pro or the Redmi Note 7 Pro?

I am coming to the tough question – which phone should you buy Realme 3 Pro or the RN7 Pro. The Note 7 Pro has a better glass design and in-hand feel and even comes with a USB type C port.

However, the MIUI is plagued with Ads, and the phone also doesn’t come with a fast charger in the box. You can buy a fast charger separately, but that’s a bummer.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a slightly better rear camera. However, the front camera on the Realme 3 Pro is definitely better.

It is a tough choice no matter how we see it, both phones are best in class and you are not making a wrong choice picking either one of these.

Now you know the differences, go ahead and get what your heart truly desires without worrying much.
