Realme 5 Pro – Specs, Features, Camera Details and More
The key Highlight for both the devices is the presence of the Quad-Camera setup.
For starters, the Realme 5 Pro is made from poly-plastic and comes with a new crystal design. It is available in green and blue color options.
There is a 6.3-inch display with waterdrop notch and FHD+ (2240*1080 pixels) resolution. The display panel is IPS LCD, it is not Super AMOLED as was rumored earlier.
Notably, the Realme 5 Pro has a 48 megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor as a primary camera.
On the other hand, affordable Realme 5 comes with a 12-megapixel primary camera instead of the 48 MP.
Further, the quad-camera setup has a super macro lens, a portrait lens, and a Wide Angle lens.
The rear camera configuration is 48 MP (Primary camera) + 8MP (wide angle) + 2MP (Portrait) + 2MP (macro). There are plenty of cameras, however, the 2 MP cameras look gimmicky and can’t capture details.
The front side has a 16 Megapixel, Sony IMX 471 selfie camera, that rests in the tiny waterdrop notch.
Further, the Realme 5 Pro offers VOOC 3.0 fast charging support an Oppo proprietary technology that enables it to charge 0-100% in 80 minutes. Also, it comes with 20 Watts USB Type C charger in the Box.
The phone has 4035 mAH battery capacity which is sufficient to last all day.
The Realme 5 Pro comes with the Color OS 6.0 along with Android 9.0 pie.
Powering the Realme 5 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor which we have also seen on the Vivo Z1 Pro. It is likely that Realme uses Snapdragon 710 in the Realme 5 Pro.
Also, there is an Adreno 616 GPU which is good for playing modern games like PUBG, Apex Legends, and COD Mobile.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 is slightly more potent in comparison to Snapdragon 710 (Used in Realme 3 Pro and Realme X) but is not as fast as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 used in the Xiaomi Redmi K20.
There is Dual Sim-Support and the mobile comes with dedicated micro-sd card slot for storage expansion. Also, there is a fingerprint scanner at the back for quick unlocking.
Lastly, it weighs 184 grams and measures 8.9 mm in thickness.
Undeniably, there are a lot of Pros in the Realme 5 Pro and it is great value for money. You may be considering to buy the Realme 5 Pro, here are some of the things to look at beyond the obvious specs.
Realme 5 Pro (Snapdragon 712) Benchmark Performance
|Smartphone||Redmi Note 7 Pro||Realme X||Realme 5 Pro|
|Processor||Snapdragon 675||Snapdragon 710||Snapdragon 712|
|GPU||Adreno 612||Adreno 616||Adreno 616|
Both Snapdragon 710 and 712 comes with the Adreno 616 GPU which is slightly better than the Snapdragon 612 when it comes to gaming.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 in the Redmi Note 7 Pro is faster in raw CPU performance as shown by the GeekBenchmark.
What’s Missing or flaws
