Samsung makes lots of smartphones for a lot of different markets and here is a new mid-range mobile from the South Korean tech giant which is expected to launch soon. Samsung C5 is the first mobile in C Series.
A week back we have got some information on Samsung’s C series from geek bench and its India’s arrival on a shipment tracking website. Now a set of images revealing the smartphone’s metallic design has surfaced online.
This new image leaks leaves no room for imagination and showcases the upcoming Samsung C5. Looking closely at it, the design feels more like the iPhone 6s with a oval Samsung signature home button and metallic build.
The uncanny resemblance to iPhone depicts from the thin metal frame, similar antenna lines and the identical bottom speaker grill. It looks quite different compared to the Samsung S7 or the S6, which came with glass back covers and less curved edges than the Samsung C5.
The frame and the faceplate which look identical to the Galaxy Note 5, with some major changes done by Samsung at the back of the device.
The new design shows protruding antenna strips like the ones seen on an iPhone or HTC mobiles.
Speaker grills were moved to the bottom of the frame which also has the space for a headphone jack, similar to Samsung S7.
The power button is placed on the right along with the volume rocker that has a split button design.
The front shots show glossy bezels that give an appearance of lustrous metal, the side bezels are so thin that it almost gets merged with the frame. The soft keys on the front were camouflaged when the device is at idle and gets lit up only when active. The smartphone’s screen is slightly bent towards the corners so it may have a curved 2.5D finish.

The smartphone’s leaked specs suggest that the Galaxy C5 is a mid-range smartphone carrying a 5.2 inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor along with 4GB of RAM.
The rear camera is expected to be 13 megapixels along with a dual tone LED flash.
Samsung has suddenly become a company obsessed with new smartphone design and long gone are the days when we used to see the same plastic build and home button design Samsung had since Samsung S3.
Samsung is getting into metal build even for its mid-range devices its recent launch including the A5 2016 flagship S7 have metal and Glass body instead of plastic.Likewise, The C5 is complete revamp of Samsung’s design and looks more attractive than its own A series smartphones, which continued to have better built and mid-range specs for some times, now the C5 have more polished looks whose design sits between the A series and flagship S series devices.
Likewise, The C5 is a completely revamped design and probably is a good change that Samsung is experimenting with a more bold design for mid-range smartphone buyers.
The Samsung C Series is expected to launch in May or June and the initial release is expected to be for China market.
Apart from C5, there is another smartphone in the same C series with model number C-700 which may be a C7 and expected to have up specs.
