Samsung Galaxy J2 PRO is Officially Launched in India
Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) only this month on 11 July 2016 in the Indian market and today they have launched a slightly upgraded version named as the “J2 Pro” in the market. The South Korean Giant, today, launched the Pro variant Galaxy J2 Pro for a price tag of Rs. 9890 and is so far a Snapdeal exclusive product.
Samsung has been launching the Pro variants for all its mid-range smartphone ranging from Galaxy On5, On7, J3 (2016). The Pro variant of the Galaxy J2 doesn’t come with many upgraded features when compared to the Galaxy J2 (2016).

The Pro variant differs only in terms of memory and internal storage as it comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage when compared to the 1.5 GB of RAM of 8 GB of internal storage in Galaxy J2 (2016). The design and the build quality along with the camera and processor stays same as was available in the Samsung J2 2016.
Notably, the Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 was launched at Rs. 9750 but now is available on Amazon India for Rs. 9450.
Other specifications of the smartphone are similar to the Galaxy J2 (2016). The J2 Pro retains the unique features of the J2 (2016).
The Turbo Speed Technology which makes the App opening speed faster compared to other smartphones and the SmartGlow feature is present in the J2 Pro. The smart Glow feature allows you to set custom colors for the notifications.

The smartphone also comes with the S Bike Mode which Samsung introduced with the Samsung J3 2016, it allows you to send custom notification messages while you are driving the bike.
The Galaxy J2 Pro boasts of a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 293 PPI. Under the hood, there is a Spreadtrum SC8830 Quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz.
Cameras on this device are 8-megapixel shooter at the rear and there is a 5-Megapixel shooter for clicking selfies at the front.
Furthermore, the device runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Fueling the phone is a 2,600 mAh battery that is sufficient to last all day, considering the Specs for the J2 Pro.
However, it lacks the fingerprint scanner, which a lot of phones have in the 10K price range.
Overall it is a better option when compared to the non-pro J2 2016 version.
