Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max India Launch and Availability

South Korean Tech Moghul Samsung has launched two new mid-range smartphones in India, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, and the Galaxy J7 Max. The newly launched phones support Samsung Pay, which at present is available only for Samsung’s high-end phones.

The Galaxy J7 Pro is available for Rs. 20,990, while the Galaxy J7 Max comes at a price of Rs. 17,900. You can purchase both the mobiles from Flipkart.

The Galaxy J7 Pro supports complete Samsung Pay, which means you can use it at swipe at payment machines, add your debit card, wallets, etc.

The J7 Max uses a smaller version called Samsung Pay Mini, which is exclusively designed for Samsung phones running Android Lollipop and above and have at least a 720p display.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Max

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is the first smartphone to launch exclusively in India, and it is yet not available in other countries. For starters, the J7 Max has a 5.7-inch Full HD TFT display with a 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass protection on top.

Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P20 chip, with a 1.6Ghz octa-core CPU along with Mali-T880 GPU. Additionally, the device has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.

Furthermore, it runs Android 7.0 Nougat along with the Samsung’s TouchWiz layer on top. The rear camera in the J7 Max is of 13MP with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture. Also, there’s a 13MP front-facing camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture.

It even has a fingerprint scanner integrated into its home button. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

Lastly, it draws power from a 3300mAh capacity battery.

The Galaxy J7 Pro is the same smartphone launched a few days back in Europe, as Galaxy J7 (2017). The highlight of the J7 Pro is the support for the Samsung Pay, Android Nougat, and a massive 3600 mAh battery.

Notably, the J7 Pro features a 5.5-inch display with an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 2.5D curved glass on top. Powering the phone is a Samsung Exynos 7870 chip, with a 1.6 GHz octa-core CPU, paired with just 3GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Furthermore, it has the same camera setup as the J7 Max and measures 7.9mm in thickness. Lastly, it has support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and NFC.
