The Samsung M Series is intended to offer great specs for budget and mid-range online phone buyers, whereas the Galaxy A series is for the offline market. Some of the mobiles in the Galaxy A-Series offer better build quality but are pricier than the M-Series phones.

The company wants to rival Xiaomi and Realme to gain market share. The Galaxy M-series phones are made in India and manufactured at Samsung’s Noida factory.

Samsung Galaxy M53 (5G) – Price Rs. 26,990

Samsung’s new Galaxy M53 is a new 5G phone with the best: a Quad-Camera setup, fast performance, and a massive 5,000 mAH battery.

The new Samsung Galaxy M53 comes with a polycarbonate build and vivid colors. It is a sleek phone having a 7.4 mm thickness and weighs just 176 grams.

The M53 offers an advanced camera system with four lenses: a 108 MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and an 8 MP lens, and there are two 2 MP lenses on the backside. Besides, it comes with an incredible front camera with 32 MP resolution and can record 4K videos.

The 5G smartphone comes with 12 bands to offer a broader range of 5G coverage. It’s equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for fast unlocking.

It has a large 6.7-inch super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2408 pixels screen resolution. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 runs Android v12 OS and One UI 4.1 out of the box.

The new MediaTek 900 Processor powers the device, clocked at 2.4 GHz, and came with the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU to ensure smooth performance in all games and applications.

Recommendation – The Samsung M53 (5G) is the new bestseller from Samsung and is an ideal phone for people looking for a device in the 25k to 30k price range. The phone has excellent front and rear cameras, a decent display, and all-day battery life. Equipped with 5G support, it is a good offering and is future-proof. Overall it is a good smartphone for gaming and daily use with few cons.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is the latest addition to the Samsung M Series, and the smartphone will be suitable for mid-range buyers looking for a daily driver. The phone is available in two color options mystique green and deep ocean blue.

The price for the models is as follows :

  • 6 GB Ram and 128 GB Storage – Price Rs. 17,999
  • 8 GB Ram and 128 GB Storage – Price Rs. 19,499

The 6 GB ram version in the green color looks attractive and worth considering.

Key Specs and Details – Samsung M33(5G)

Powering it is the 5Nm Samsung Exynos 1280 Octa-Core processor with a 2.4 GHz clock speed. It comes with up to 8 GB ram and 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone boasts a large 6.6-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

For optics, it has a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, 5 MP ultra-wide, and two cameras with a 2 MP lens. The front selfie camera has an 8 MP resolution and can take decent selfies.

The key highlight of the device is its massive 6000 mAh capacity battery, and it comes with 25 Watts Fast Charging support. However, Samsung is not offering the charger in the box; you will have to buy it separately. Besides, it comes with 5G supports (12 bands) and runs on the latest Android 12 and the Samsung One UI 4.0.

There is a dedicated micro-sd card slot to expand the storage apart from two sim card trays. The phone is bulky, weighs 215 grams, and measures 7.7 mm in thickness.

Recommendation – The Samsung M33 (5G) is a decent 5G smartphone for buyers looking for mobile in the sub 20K price range. The smartphone offers plenty of good features; the only major con is the lack of a charger in the box.

Samsung Galaxy M11 – Price Rs. 11,499

The Samsung Galaxy M11 comes with a 3 GB Ram and 32 GB of internal storage for Rs. 9,499. The higher version comes with 4 GB of Ram and 64 GB of internal storage available for Rs. 11,999.

The smartphone has a 6.4-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) display with a hole-punch design. Powering the mobile is an Octa-Core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 450) and comes with up to 4GB of RAM.

Besides, it has Dolby Atmos for superior audio quality and supports regional languages such as Hindi, Telugu, and Marathi.

The phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Also, there is a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

It offers a punch hole 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front and an f/2.0 lens for selfies.

Furthermore, the Galaxy M11 comes with microSD card support to expand storage up to 512GB. Additionally, it has a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Connectivity on the phone includes 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Hotspot, and GPS/ A-GPS. Also, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery support 15W fast charging. Lastly, it weighs 197 grams and has 9.0 mm in thickness.

  • 5000 mAH battery is sufficient to last all day.
  • 4 GB Ram and 64 GB internal storage is sufficient for most users.

CONS

  • The display is HD+, not Full HD.
  • The smartphone lacks 5G Support.

Recommendation – The Samsung M11 is a good phone for the price tag of Rs. 11,499 and can be an excellent daily driver. The smartphone is not suitable for gamers; an average processor. However, for everyday use, it is a good 4G smartphone.


Samsung Galaxy M02s – Price Rs. 11,899

In Jan 2021, Samsung unveiled the new affordable smartphone – Galaxy M02s. The sub-12k-priced mobile is ideal for daily usage, has a large battery, and offers a good multi-media experience.

Let’s have a look at what new comes in Galaxy M02s

Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. It is an Octa-core processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz and an Adeno 506 GPU. It is not the fastest processor for high-end gaming, but you can do casual gaming.

The phone is available in two variants, with expandable storage:

  1. 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage at Rs 8,999. – (not available now)
  2. 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage at Rs 11,899.

The device operates on Android 10 based on Samsung One UI. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity V notch display with 1560*720 px resolution.

The phone has a Triple camera setup at the rear, including a 13MP primary camera, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor, and for selfies, we have a 5MP front camera. It offers dual SIM 4G network connectivity.

The Galaxy M02s is 9.1 mm thick, and the phone weighs 196 grams, which is a bit bulky. Furthermore, the device comes with a massive 5000 mAH battery capacity and 15 Watts fast charging support.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy M02s offers an excellent option to budget buyers in the sub 12k price range. It has its cons, like lack of FHD display or a powerful processor, but it comes with an excellent Ads-free UI.

Samsung Galaxy M12 is available for a starting price of Rs. 11,499 for the 4GB Ram and 64 GB Storage version and Rs. 13,499 for the 6 GB Ram and 128 GB Storage version.

Samsung’s own Exynos 850 octa-core processor is powering the device, fabricated on an 8nm chipset and the ARM Mali-G52 GPU.

The Galaxy M12 offers a 6.5-inch PLS IPS waterdrop notch display with an HD+(1600*720)pixels resolution, including a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 270ppi pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Camera details – It has a Quad rear camera setup, including a 48MP(f/2.0) primary camera, an 8MP(f/2.2) ultrawide lens, a 2MP(f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP(f/2.4) depth sensor. Additionally, it comes with an 8MP(f/2.2) selfie camera.

Connectivity options – WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, hotspot, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and a dual SIM 4G support.

The phone weighs 221 grams(heavyweight), has a thickness of 9.7mm, and even has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Lastly, it packs a massive 6000 mAH battery with 15Watts fast charging support.

Overall, considering the large battery, it is a bit bulky, and the HD+ display is just about okay. However, the price is competitive, and some buyers may like the extra-long battery back of the M12.

The Samsung Galaxy M21 comes with 4 GB Ram and 64 GB of internal storage for Rs. 12,999.

Samsung Galaxy M21 – Key Specs and Details

It has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ (2400*1080 pixels) display with a u-notch design. It has a 60 Hz refresh rate and comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

“It is one of the cheapest Samsung phones to offer an FHD Super AMOLED display.”

Powering the mobile is an Octa-Core processor (Exynos 9611) and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

The smartphone runs on the latest Android 11 Os and the Samsung One UI 3.1. Additionally, it comes with a massive 6000 mAH battery that can easily last all day. Also, it has 15 Watts fast charging support and comes with a fast charger in the box. The Dual Sim smartphone has 4G VOLTE support but lacks 5G.

The phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Also, there is a 5-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It offers a decent 20 MP sensor at the front and an f/2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy M21 is still a better option than many recently launched Samsung mobiles. The Super AMOLED FHD+ display and massive battery life are excellent features in the price range.

Samsung Galaxy M32 (4G) – Price Rs. 14,999

Samsung M32 is available in 4G and 5G variants, and I have shared the details of the 5G variants later in the article. First, let’s look at the M32(4G) variant.

The phone’s starting price is Rs 14999 for the 4 GB Ram and 64 GB storage versions. The Samsung Galaxy M32 is the successor to the Galaxy M31, launched in February 2020.

Let’s have a look at the specs of the Galaxy M32:

Starting with its display, it features a 6.4-inch super AMOLED infinity-U display, FHD+(2400*1080)pixels resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate and 800nits brightness.

The Galaxy M32 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor fabricated on a 12nm chipset and clocked at 2.0 GHz and also comes with an ARM Mali-G52 GPU for gaming.

It runs on its Samsung One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.

Furthermore, it comes in the following variant:

  • 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
  • 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Also, it comes with expandable storage support via a microSD card.

Moreover, the Galaxy M32 has a Quad camera setup at the rear carrying a 64MP(f/1.8) primary camera, 8MP(f/2.2) 123-degree ultrawide angle lens, and a 2MP(f/2.2) macro lens, and a 2MP(f/2.4) depth sensor for stunning images.

Additionally, the cellphone has a 20MP selfie shooter for high clarity selfies.

Connectivity options include – Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm earphone jack, USB Type-C 2.0, and Dual SIM 4G support.

The phone is quite thick, has a thickness of 9mm, and weighs196 grams. Also, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking and security.

Lastly, the Galaxy M32 comes with a massive 6000mAH battery capacity and a 15 Watts fast charging support.

Note – The ICICI bank debit and credit card users will get a special discount of Rs 1,250.

Overall, the Samsung M32 is a balanced phone for the price, and people looking for a good mid-ranger will not be disappointed by this new Samsung phone.

A 6 GB Ram variant was launched, but it is usually unavailable. Also, there are discounts available up to Rs. 4000 on purchase from Amazon.

Let’s check out the Specs and Features for the Galaxy M32 (5G):

The Samsung M32 now comes with 5G support, unlike the predecessor with 4G support only. Also, the phone comes with 12 (5G) bands support, probably more than most other smartphones in this price range.

The MediaTek Dimensity 720 Octa-core processor powering the phone with a clock speed of 2 GHz.

Aforementioned, it has got 8GB RAM and 128GB storage support, and you can even expand the storage to 1 TB using the Micro-sd card slot. It comes with Dual Sim support with a Hybrid (SIM or MicroSD) secondary slot.

The phone operates on the Android 11 and Samsung One UI 3.1 and will soon get the Android 12 update.

Further, the Galaxy M32 (5G) comes with a (6.5-inch) TFT panel– infinity V-cut display, HD+ resolution with 720 x 1600 pixels. The resolution is just HD+; Samsung should have used FHD+ in this price range. However, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Galaxy M32 (5G) comes with a Quad-Camera setup, including a 48 MP (f/1.8) aperture primary sensor, 8 MP Ultra-Wide Camera, 5 Mp Depth sensor, and a 2 MP Macro Camera. Frankly, two good cameras are enough others are just marketing gimmicks, not much use.

You can click decent selfies with the 13 MP front camera’s F/2.2 aperture.

Lastly, we have a 5000 mAH capacity battery that is sufficient to last all day and comes with 15 Watts fast charging support.

Verdict – Samsung M32 (5G) comes with a decent processor, the latest OS, and 5G support. But the display is only HD+ which is a bummer.

In Sept 2021, Samsung launched the Galaxy M52 5G, a premium mid-range offering by the South Korean tech giant.

Let’s check out the Specs and Features for the Galaxy M52 5G:

The handset features a large 6.7-inch super AMOLED Plus display, a center punch-hole notch, FHD+(2400*1080)pixels resolution, and a high 120Hz refresh rate.

Powering the Galaxy M52 5G is a decent Snapdragon 778 octa-core processor by Qualcomm fabricated on a 6nm chipset and came along with an Adreno 642L GPU that delivers a seamless gaming experience.

It runs on an Android 11 operating system based on Samsung One UI 3.1. The phone has 6 GB Ram and 128 GB storage.

Also, the user has the liberty to expand storage up to 1TB by using a shared SIM slot.

For imaging, it has a triple camera module that includes a 64MP(f/1.8) primary camera, a 12MP(f/2.2) 123-degree ultrawide lens, and the last one is a 5MP(f/2.4) macro camera that captures high-quality, stunning images and 4k videos.

Furthermore, it got a high-quality 32MP(f/2.2) selfie shooter at the front.

It supports 5G network connectivity, WiFi 6 support, NFS, GPS, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and USB Type-C support.

It has a large 5000mAH battery that supports 25 Watts fast charging.

Despite the massive battery, it weighs only 173 grams and has a thickness of 7.6mm.

Lastly, The original price of the phone is Rs. 29,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, but it is currently available for Rs. 25,000.
