If you are drooling to buy the infinite display Samsung S8, wait a bit more. The Note 8 is coming.
After the ill-fated Samsung Note 7, Samsung has bounced back in no time with the success of S8 and S8 Plus. Samsung is able to sell more than 10 million S8 and S8 Plus in 1 month which is a record for the flagship Samsung device.
Interestingly, even after the whole Note 7 issue, there is a large number of people waiting for the release of the next Samsung Note 8. The Samsung Note 7 was a perfect device with top notch display, great hardware and camera. The Note 8 is going to be better.
The fresh leaks on the upcoming Note 8, indicates that it is going to have a larger display and improved optics compared to the Samsung S8. According to reliable source SamMobile, the Samsung Note 8 could sport significantly bigger display and dual rear cameras
Rumours claim that it’ll flaunt a 6.3-inch “Infinity Display” like the S8 series. Since it’s going to sport the bezel-less display, the Note 8 is going to stick with the 18.5:9 ratio.
Samsung has not used the Dual Rear Camera on any of the devices so far. Though there were some recent leaks which suggest they are going to do that on the Samsung C10 Pro which will most likely launch before the Note 8.
The Dual camera setup is alien to Samsung so far and has been a forte of Huawei, Apple and LG, but with Note 8 things can become interesting.
Also, Samsung needs a radical update for the Note 8 to differentiate it from the S8 Plus which Dual Rear Camera can deliver. They are not going to try larger batteries, I can have beer bets on that.
Another report from KGI Security’s famed Apple insider Mr Ming Chi-Kuo, reveals that the Note 8 will be equipped with 6 element lens and will have 3x optical zoom.
Also if we go back and check the Samsung Exynos 8895 details, Samsung shared that the processor is designed to work with Dual cameras, probably Samsung has been preparing for the Dual rear camera for the Note 8 for quite some time.
Another leaked image showcase the Samsung Note 8 Dual camera’s
The leaked images show a significant change in one aspect of the overall design. That’s the omission of the fingerprint scanner at the back. This indicates that Samsung might have figured out a way to integrate a sensor beneath the display itself.
On the performance front, it is most likely to come with the Exynos 8895 or the Snapdragon 835, a mid-cycle refresh on the processor seems unlikely at this point.
Samsung may increase the Ram to 6 GB or may consider to keep it at 4 GB as there is hardly any difference it is going to make in real world performance.
The launch of iPhone 8, Google Pixel 2 are the most anticipated phones of the year. These prominent changes by Samsung might give a tough competition to the rest.
No other spec list, benchmark scores are leaked as of yet. Since there’s still a lot of time for Samsung to release the Note 8, we would ask our readers to absorb all the information with a grain of salt and wait for more reports on the Samsung Note 8, on Candytech.
