Lets Talk Performance

The Samsung S8 comes with the latest Exynos 8895 processor for India, while some other countries Samsung is using the Snapdragon 835 Chipset. The Exynos 8895 is also manufactured using the 10Nm process and offers 27% higher performance and 41% lower power consumption compared to the last iteration.

The were some recent benchmarks posted which shows the Exynos 8895 being faster than the SD 835. Last year the S7 came with 8890 and SD 820, and in our testing and experience the 8890 offered slightly better battery life compared to the SD 820 version.

The Snapdragon 835 is clocked at 2.35 GHz while the Exynos 8895 is clocked at 2.3 GHz. Instead of the Adreno 540 GPU the Exynos 8895 comes with a Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. Infact based on the initial benchmarks the Exynos 8895 seems more promising and SD 835 also looks pretty close.

If you are buying S8 or the S8 Plus my suggestion will be to not bother much about the chipset as both are the greatest chipset with nearly identical performance.
