Samsung is all set to launch the new Samsung Z1 it’s the new smartphone with a new operating system known as Tizen. We have earlier reported a story on Tizen and Why Samsung might be looking for a different Operating System for it’s Budget Smartphones.

Update April 2015 – Samsung is also working on the successor to the Z1 smartphone. The upcoming device may be called as Samsung Tizen Z2. However, it is yet not 100% confirmed.

Further, it is likely to have a 32-bit quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, a 540×960 pixel resolution TFT-LCD display, a 2000mAh battery, and Tizen 3.0 UI. Also, it may hit the markets by the second half of 2015.

Earlier the company thought of launching the Samsung Z but didn’t, now they plan to bring the Z1 to India in December 2014. Also, the company can launch it in colloboration to e-commerce portal to keep the costs low.

If we critically analyze there is no comparison between Android One Smartphones and the Samsung Tizen Z1: The Processor, RAM, Screen Size, and Camera are all the better on the Android One Smartphones.(Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream Uno & Karbonn Sparkle V ).

As far as operating system is concerned Android is far more advanced and user-friendly compared to the new and underdevelopment Tizen OS which may take time to reach the refinement of Android. The app development is also in its early days for Tizen and developers may take time for the Apps to be available on the New Operating System.

Whether the New Smartphone offers good Value for the Indian Buyers: If it costs anywhere close to Rs. 6000 it does not. If Samsung Plan to launch it for Rs. 5000 or lower then we may find good takers for the new Smartphone.   1. We have to take into account something else when comparing these, which is how light weight this tizen os is, which might be lighter than Android, as Windows phone. Android requires heavy config to work properly, that’s not the case with Windows phone. Which might also be the case of tizen os. Let’s wait and see.
