The iXpand Flash drive has a lightning connector and a USB 3.0 connector, which facilitates fast file transfer between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and PC. SanDisk said in the launch statement that the new drive comes with upto 70 MBPS speed, which doesn’t seem to be too high.

SanDisk has also launched the iXpand drive earlier, but the new drive comes with a modified design and offers more ease of connectivity.

The problem with the older iXpand drive was that users were required to remove the top casing, the issue is solved in this iteration.

The 16GB iXpand Drive is available at Rs. 2899 while the highest variant 128 GB will set you back by Rs. 6899.

But considering the older iXpand drive, which currently retails for Rs 3400 for the 16 GB variant, this looks a bit cheaper.

If you are on the Android side you are way lucky; as a 32 GB, USB 3.0, OTG drive will come under Rs 1000, almost 1/3 the price of the 16 GB iXpand drive.

The iXpand Mini Flash Drive price difference between the 16 GB and 32 GB is not too much and for additional Rs. 700, you can get 16 GB more storage.

I think it is worth investing in the higher storage version if you are planning to buy the SanDisk Mini Flash storage.

The drive supports Windows: Vista, 7, 8, 10, Mac OS X 10.8 or Later, Chrome OS, iOS 8.2 or later.

Besides, It is prudent to know what version of iOS or OS you have before buying the drive.

Further, It comes with a cool feature that backups up all your photos from iPhone to the drive automatically when the drive is connected.

Though you will need to download the iXpand App from the App Store to manage your photos and videos the way you like.

The Companion App also allows users to watch videos directly from the drive instead of copying them back to your phone.

In a related occurrence, Seagate has launched a 5 TB portable hard drive, and Apple has launched the new iPhone.
