Update – 30 May 2016 – Sony has launched the Xperia X on Amazon India today.
The Price for the Sony Xperia X is ridiculously high; in fact, you can buy a Samsung S7 or an iPhone 6s at this price – Sony Xperia X costs Rs. 46,990 in India. I am not sure who decides the price on Sony India phones, but he has no consideration for market conditions.
The smartphones were unveiled back in February 2016 and are also on sale in Europe and other Global markets.
The SONY Xperia X and XA are mid-range smartphones from Sony. Sony India has yet not listed the 2016 Flagship, the Sony Xperia X performance which is also likely to get launch in late June 2016 or early July.
The Sony X Performance can be a good alternative to the Samsung S7 launched on March 16 or the recently launched LG G5 which is priced by LG at Rs. 52,999. HTC also is gearing to launch the HTC 10 in India on 26th May 2016. Lots of choices are coming for the Flagship buyers in the June 2016 and Samsung will have some competition from the top Android Manufacturers.
Sony Xperia X and XA have a very similar design when compared to the Xperia X Performance and have the curved metallic edge and a near bezel-less display. The Xperia X and the Xperia XA will be launched with the Dual Sim Variants in India as per prelim information.
