Sony India has launched the latest large display camera focus smartphone in the Indian market – Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra.

The Dual Sim Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is priced at Rs. 29,990 or $450 in the Indian market. The smartphone comes in 3 colors – Gold, White, and Black and will be available in retail as well as online stores.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra’s key highlight is it’s 23 Megapixel rear camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture Sony Exmor RS lens with 24 mm wide angle. The camera lens comes with support for HDR and also has hybrid autofocus to improve the focus speed.

At the front Sony Xperia, XA1 Ultra has a 16 Megapixel selfie camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture, 23 mm wide lens, OIS and autofocus support. Seems to be a pretty solid camera offering for both rear and front.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra has a large footprint comes with 6 Inch display with full HD panel offering 1920*1080 pixels with 367 PPI.

Moreover, the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass, but Sony has not specified which version they are using on the XA 1 Ultra.

The device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and comes with Sony’s own “Xperia actions” to learn the user behavior and suggest actions based on that.

The smartphone has a metallic frame and comes with prominent bezels at the top and bottom side which is not what most enthusiasts want from a modern device.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio P20 Processor with maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz. The 64 Bit Octa-Core processor offers decent performance and also comes with the  Mali T880 MP2 (900 MHz Clock Speed) GPU to take care of gaming and graphics-intensive tasks.

Specs and Features

The mobile phone has 4 GB of Ram and comes with 64 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 256 GB using the micro-sd card slot.

For connectivity, it comes with Dual Sim support and also has 4G LTE as well as VOLTE support.

The smartphone comes with 2700 mAH battery capacity and along with MediaTek Pump Express Plus 2.0 fast charging support and adaptive Qnova technology to prolong the battery life.

The device weighs 188 grams and has a thickness of 8.1 mm. The XA1 Ultra comes with NFC support and also has the modern USB Type C port.

Additionally, there is a new AR App which comes with the device, and it also comes with Clear Audio+ and SmartAmp technology from Sony.

Overall the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra offers a large display with superb rear and front camera; a stuck in past design and a premium price tag.

Sony has also launched the XA1 Plus and XZ1 mobiles in India.
