Top Features and Specs Details – XZ Premium
For starters, the XZ Premium is the top of the line mobile from Japanese technology conglomerate and comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor along with 4 GB of Ram.
The design is not significantly different in comparison to the Sony Xperia XZs which was launched in India last month. Noticeably, there is still a large bezel at the front side which is nothing like the new LG G6 and Samsung S8.
Dear Sony, we need a more futuristic design from a flagship phone.
The mobile comes with a glass design with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting both the sides. The design is not the reason why you buy a Sony phone, you buy it for the camera.
Camera Details – Sony XZ Premium
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes one of the best cameras you can get from the company which specializes in optics. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes with an exceptional camera with 19 MP resolution with a new Motion Eye Camera technology and 1/2.3” Exmor RS™ lens.
The camera can record at 960 FPS which is super slow motion video, which is not possible with any other smartphone. There is also something Sony Calls predictive focus” which allows capturing 4 shots before you even press the click button and gives you the best possible final shot.
Also, there is a triple focus technology and anti-distortion shutter which makes every shot a perfect shot. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium also offers a much improved 13 Megapixel front camera for clicking superb selfies.
Sony has brought it’s A game as far as camera technology goes for the Xperia XZ Premium.
As per the DXO mark Score, (scores 87 points) the Sony XZ premium does not have a great camera and even several independent reviewers share a similar conclusion.
In fact, the phone lacks the clarity and image quality offered by Samsung S8, Google Pixel 2 or the iPhone X.
Insanely, it comes with 5.5 Inch 4K (3840*2160) pixels resolution with a crazy 801 PPi.
This is the highest resolution display on any phone. Additionally, it comes with Sony technologies to make it even more incredible. The display has TRILUMINOS™ Display for mobile & X-Reality™ for mobile.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium offers 64 GB of internal storage and that can be expanded using a micro-sd card.
The smartphone comes with Android Nougat 7.1, and also has IP 65 / IP68 Water and dust resistance. The smartphone comes with support for 4G VOLTE (CAT-16), along with USB Type C and NFC.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes with 3230 mAH capacity battery and has support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Also, it boasts of the latest Bluetooth 5.0 and for high-resolution audio comes with a dedicated LDAC.
It is pretty heavy, weighing 191 grams. However, has a thickness of 7.9 mm which is not too high.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is a very exquisite, not meant for everyone and probably will not excite too many buyers who are more lured to buy the Samsung S8 or the LG G6.
Though SONY has a cult following in the country who would love this power-packed, shutterbugs delight deal from Sony.
