Sony is expected to launch 3 new smartphones at IFA 2017 which is going to happen in a couple of months.
Sony recently unveiled the Xperia XZ Premium at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Feb’17.
While the XZs comes with top of the line hardware it has an old Sony design which is expected to change in 6 months when Sony unveils new smartphones.
The New Smartphones XZ1, XZ1 compact and X1 will come with a new camera technology as per a recent report. The camera on these devices will have “Full Continous focus and shoot” technology from Sony.
More importantly, Sony can give up the big bezel design with these new phones as the consumers are now more interested in the infinite or low bezel displays as found in Samsung S8 and LG G6.
The Sony XZ1 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will have 4 GB of RAM. It will come with 5.2 inches Full HD Display with 2.5 D Curve gorilla glass. There is 3000 mAH battery expected for the XZ1.
The XZ1 Compact will come with 4.6 Inch Screen and it can be HD or FHD depends on the Sony’s choice of resolution. The smartphone will also share similar processor and ram as the XZ1. The battery capacity will be reduced to 2500 mAH to accommodate lesser screen size.
The last one is the X1 which will not be as premium as the other 2 devices. It will though be decent mid-range phone from Sony powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-Core processor and 4 GB RAM. It will have 2800 mAH capacity battery and 5 Inch Full HD Display.
There are also rumours of Sony Xperia X Ultra to launch soon. X ultra can actually launch ahead of these devices and there is also an image which was leaked some days back.
The image showcase the next gen Sony X Ultra which will have the infinite display with the ultra-wide screen. The display looks ridiculously long as per the leaked image.
We will have to wait some more weeks till any of these devices turn into reality.
