Names can be deceptive, and in this case, also the name doesn’t do justice to the gorgeous looking mobile from Qiku. The Qiku 360 F4 smartphone is unveiled in China, and you just can’t buy it in India, at least for now.
Qiku (now renamed as Qihoo) has recently released a new smartphone known as the Qiku F4. Qiku has been present in India, and they launched a large screen smartphone Qiku Q Tera couple of months back and likely to bring the new Qiku 360 F4 to the Indian market.
The Qiku F4 was launched at an event hosted by the company in China, where the company also did a renaming of its brand from Qihoo, as the new smartphone was named as 360 F4 (which is derived from the parent company “Qihoo 360”) as gathered from some of the Chinese websites.
Sometimes the naming convention in China can be confusing when translated into English. Qiku Q Tera, for instance, is not a very cute name for a new smartphone in India. Thank wholeheartedly Xiaomi /Lenovo simplifies the names of smartphones in India.
The 360 F4 is a budget smartphone with its all-metal body, and gorgeous looks can make anyone believe that you have paid a handsome amount of money to get the head-turning smartphone.
Stunning Looks Premium Metal Body Design
The smartphone pricing is expected to be ranging from 6500 for 16Gb and 8500 for 32 GB, which makes it one of the most affordable smartphones in the lower range smartphone segment.
The 360 F4 carries a 5 inch HD screen, the HD resolution alone (1280*720p) with 293 PPI. The 360 F4 is powered by a 64-bit Mediatek MTK 6753 processor and comes in 2 GB and 3 GB RAM variants. The 16 GB storage version of the smartphone comes with 2 GB of Ram while the 32 GB variant is powered by 3 GB RAM.
Both the variants also come with support for the micro-SD card up to 128 GB capacity.
In India currently, Coolpad is offering the Coolpad Note 3 with similar configuration and pricing, though the Coolpad Note 3 comes with poly-plastic build while the 360 F4 comes with the metallic build.
The camera section comes with a 13 mega pixel main shooter and a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter. The smartphone also has got a Finger-print scanner mounted below the primary camera at the back of the device.
The battery pack is non-removable 2500 mAh, and the smartphone runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 which is customized by Qiku with its custom UI (360 OS). I checked the 360 OS on the Qiku Q Tera, and it was reasonably smooth and came with features like App freeze which makes less used apps go to hibernation to free up resources.
The smartphone has many color options to choose from, which includes Gold, White, Black, Pink, and Blue.
The 360 F4 will be available from 25th of this month in China market, and there are yet no plans of Qiku to bring the stunner to the Indian market.
