Battery life is one of the most crucial aspect of the buying decision for a new smartphone. While companies like Xiaomi, Asus and Lenovo already have several smartphones focused at great battery life, Swipe has also joined the race and released a new entrant Swipe Elite Power, priced at ₹6,999. Highlight being its huge 4000 mAH battery.
Design wise the phone takes some cues from Redmi Note 3 and manages to look premium for the price tag. It is a metallic smartphone made from light weight aluminium. The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch HD (720*1280) IPS LCD display. A large battery and a decent display in Rs. 6,999 is good but The Elite Power is driven by a much slower processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 210.
Most other smartphone comes with either Qualcomm 400 series or faster Mediatek Quad Core processors which are better at this price point. The processor is coupled with 2 GB of ram and 16 GB of internal storage. There’s also an option to expand the storage but it is limited only upto 32 GB.
The Elite Power is a dual sim phone and has a hybrid sim tray, hence in order to expand the storage one has to use one sim and a micro SD card. It features an 8 MP rear camera with single LED flash placed right above the active fingerprint sensor. Addition of fingerprint scanner at this price point is commendable. The smartphone comes with a a 5 MP front selfie shooter.
Like all the other entry-level smartphones, the Elite Power also runs Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It also supports basic connectivity options along with 4G/LTE connection.
It’s available in Space Grey color option exclusively on Flipkart.
