Xiaomi is launching many new phones both in India and China; as these are the two most important markets for the brand. Recently, the company launched the flagship Mi8 series in China.
Also, last week they have launched the affordable Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A in the home country. Notably, for the Indian market, the company recently introduced the successor to Redmi Y1, the Redmi Y2 (it was launched as Redmi S2 in China earlier).
But what about the phones that yet to launch?

Xiaomi Mi Max 3/Mi Max 3 Pro
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a mammoth of a phone. And now, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch its successor – the Mi Max 3 – next month in China.
Mi Max 3 had appeared on TENAA recently, giving a glimpse what could come in future.
Citing the images that surfaced on TENAA, it is evident that Mi Max 3 might launch with a dual-camera rear setup which looks very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The Mi Max 3 will likely come with an enormous 6.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080) IPS LCD screen along with a modern 18:9 aspect ratio. It doesn’t have a notch like most phones launching in the recent weeks.
Apparently, Xiaomi might introduce another variant – Mi Max 3 Pro – alongside the Mi Max 3 at the launch event. This is in relation with the post that made rounds on Chinese social networking website, Weibo.
Interestingly, the Mi Max 3 Pro will be pitched with a Snapdragon 710 CPU and will have a massive 5400 mAh battery. Whereas, the Mi Max 3 will run on a Snapdragon 636 chipset.
The Mi Max 3 will come with a dual 12MP + 12MP main camera sensors, while a 5 MP /8 MP front camera will be there for clicking selfies.
Also, TENAA listing suggests that Mi Max 3 may come with 3GB/ 4GB/ 6GB RAM modules coupled with 32GB, 64GB, and 128Gb internal storage options.
On the other hand, Mi Max 3 Pro will have a single variant, offering 6 GB RAM along with 128 GB of storage.
Xiaomi Mi A2 (India Launch Expected August 2018)
Mi A2 is the successor to the crowd-favorite Xiaomi phone – Mi A1 – and is supposedly the rebranded Mi 6X which will come with Android One.
Over a couple of months, various leaks have surfaced on the internet coming up with a number of specs that the Mi A2 will boast of. Let’s have a look at what this phone will feature according to the rumors.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a 5.99-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen having an FHD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution along with a modern 18:9 ratio and 403 PPI pixel density. Also, the display has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches.
Powering the mobile is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with Adreno 512 GPU to take care of the graphics. Additionally, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the MIUI 9.5 skin on top.
For photography, there is a 12 MP (f/1.8) + 20 MP (f/1.8) dual camera with PDAF and LED flash at the back. Whereas, a 20-megapixel (f/1.8) front-facing camera clicks the selfies.
Talking about the device’s storage, Mi A2 comes in 32GB/ 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt memory variants with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
Strikingly, the phone has a USB Type-C port (Mi A1 also has the USB Type C Port), whereas there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone packs a 3010 mAh battery that comes with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
Mi A2 is expected to be launched in late July/August 2018 with a rumored price of Rs. 20000.
Next, we have the large display Mi Max 3.
Mi Max 3 (China Launch July 2018)
The Mi Max 3 is the upcoming phone from Xiaomi and is the successor to the phablet-sized device Mi Max 2. The mobile is yet to be announced by the company.
For some time, leaks have been pouring in, pointing at a number of specs that the phone might possess.
Very recently, the handset was already spotted on TENAA, but now there are some photos adding to that listing too.
Let’s take a look at the rumored details of the phone.
Mi Max 3 features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Talking about camera department, the mobile has a 12 MP dual camera setup at the back, and an 8 MP selfie camera. Supposedly, one of the 3 models spotted on TENAA listing comes with 5 MP front camera for selfies instead of an 8 MP sensor.
The device comes in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB internal storage options coupled with 3 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB of RAM respectively.
Most likely, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636/660 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz will power the phone. Strikingly, the Mi Max 3 houses a whopping 5400 mAh non-removable battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
Redmi 6 Pro (China Launch on 25th June)
Upcoming Xiaomi Phones in India and China – Xiomi has just teased its upcoming Redmi 6 Pro on the company’s Weibo page with official images. The scheduled launch of the mobile is on 25th of June.
Talking about the phone from the teaser perspective, there are visible bezels – and a notch.
Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 5.84-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.
The mobile gets power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset along with an Adreno 506 GPU. Talking about its memory, the device features 32 GB and 64 GB expandable internal storage options that come with 3 GB and 4GB RAM modules, respectively.
For photography, the phone gets a dual 12 MP (f/2.2) + 5 MP (f/2.2) rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front camera for taking selfies.
The phone has various connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0 while it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
A massive 4000 mAh non-removable battery fuels the Redmi 6 Pro. It is likely that Xiaomi will bring the device in India but in late July or August 2018. We can expect it to cost close to Rs. 12,000.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
Last year in September, Xiaomi launched its all-screen phone – Mi Mix 2 – which came with almost no bezels and a selfie camera at the bottom chin of the phone’s front.
After almost a year has passed, and rumours surrounding a successor have started to come in. The new Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 might be coming soon to take on to the likes of Vivo and Oppo with its purported features.
According to the recent leaks, the Mi Mix 3 will have a selfie camera mechanism similar to that of Vivo Nex. That said, the camera will slide out of the upper edge of the Mi Mix 3.
This new camera mechanism may put Xiaomi in same category innovativeness as Oppo and Vivo. Although, the Oppo Find X uses a different approach for its stealth mechanism, it employs a new gimmicky camera trick nonetheless.
Some leaks suggest that the Mi Mix 3 will come with a massive 6.99-inch display. Apart from that, the phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU on-board along with 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage option.
For operating system department, it is not tough to guess that the phone will run with the MIUI 10 skin on top of Android Oreo operating system.
The leaked renders of the Mi Mix 3 also reveal that it might have no fingerprint sensor at all. It may also suggest that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Further, the mobile will take photos from a dual 12MP + 12MP camera module while featuring a 20-megapixel pop-out selfie camera.
