Vivo has unveiled it’s new smartphone for the Indian market and the Vivo X5 Pro with some of the brilliant features and a very classy design. The Vivo X5PRO has metallic edges with fine contours, reminds of the Apple iPhone 6. The Dual front and back 2D glass with Gorilla glass protection makes it a head turner at the same time a bit slippery to hold.
The smartphone is even thinner than the iPhone measuring only 6.4 mm compared to the 6.99 mm for the iPhone 6. The seamless metal working arcs around the edges to blend with the flowing glass, shaping a lustrous form of aesthetic pleasure, which feels great when you hold the device in hand.
The speaker grill at the bottom or the curved edges with fine finish makes the smartphone stand out from the cheaper Android mobiles boasting high end specs. The smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 27,799 when it goes on sale in August 2015.
The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz ((four ARM Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.0GHz). The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM which is adequate for multi tasking and playing any modern Android Games.
The Vivo X5 Pro has a 13 MP camera (f/2.0) with Sapphire lens which adds strength and clarity to the images. The camera comes with many features like PDAF (Phase detection Auto Focus) that ensures that the images are captured faster and with the right mix of contrast, colors and brightness.
Vivo X5PRO Offers Aesthetic Slim Design And Good Camera: It also have gender specification beautification technology which identifies the gender and applies post processing effects on photographs to make them even more gorgeous.
The front camera is also 8 MP and can capture great selfies with extra wide angle lens and an f/2.4 aperture lens.
Vivo X5Pro by a custom-made Cirrus Logic DAC AK4375 audio chip delivers astounding music experience to the listener and may appeal to the Audiophiles for listening to high pitches deep beats.
The smartphone has Android Lollipop 5.0 moded with the Funtouch OS – a home grown mode, more like the color OS of Oppo or Cyanogen Mod for the Yureka.
The Funtouch OS is quite smooth with features like smart wake and quick home screen notifications adding to the functionality.
The best feature for the smartphone is it’s Super AMOLED Full HD (1920*1080) pixels display. The 5.2 inch screen looks brilliant with great color reproduction and brightness with the AMOLED Screen.
On the connectivity front the Vivo X5 PRO supports 4G LTE in India, 3G/2G/WIFI and also has support for the USB OTG.
The battery capacity is also good at 2450 mAH considering the smartphone is quite lean measuring only 6.4 mm. We think it is a good smartphone for buyers looking for a thin good looking, great design smartphone with good specs. It may not appeal to the buyers looking for a more affordable smartphone with best possible specs.
