Xiaomi Mi Max 2
This year as well, Xiaomi is doing the same with the Mi Max 2. The smartphone has all the specifications similar to the Redmi Note 4, but brings upgrades to design, camera, and has a humongous 5300mAh battery.
Let’s drill down the specifications of Mi Max 2. It has a 6.44-inch display (same as the Mi Max) but comes with increased brightness levels and this time around the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass tech. The display has a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels and 342 PPI pixel density.
Same as the Redmi Note 4, the Mi Max 2 also uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and comes with two storage options- 64GB. Xiaomi recently unveiled a 6 GB RAM option as well in China.
The Adreno 506 GPU takes care of the graphics on the phone, and there’s a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion.
Camera, Battery, OS, and Connectivity
The key highlight of the phone is its camera since it uses the same sensor as the flagship Xiaomi Mi 6. Moreover, it has 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. At the front, it comes with a humble 5 MP selfie camera seen on other Xiaomi smartphones released recently.
It has great sound output because of the two stereo speakers and even has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Fueling the device is a massive 5300mAh battery with fast charging and reverse charging support. It means you can charge other mobiles or power banks.
The device runs on Android Nougat based MIUI 8, and most likely it will receive the next MIUI 9 update. Further, the device has USB Type-C port, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Additionally, we have a fingerprint scanner as well at the rear side of the phone, placed below the camera module.
Also, it comes with the IR Blaster so you can easily connect the device to your TV or other appliances to control them.
Xiaomi has launched the 64 GB version in India only and has left the 128 GB version of the device.
