Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Specs Price Launch Details Leaks

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone Mi Max 2 details are leaked on the Chinese social media website Weibo recently. The smartphone will launch on 25 May 2017 as per the information shared by Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will come with a 6.44-inch display like its predecessor Xiaomi Mi Max. The smartphone will have a Full HD Display (1920*1080) pixels along with the 2.5 D curve glass and Gorilla Glass protection.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Powered by Snapdragon 660 and 6 GB RAM

The Mi Max 2 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa Core 64 Bit processor.

The older Xiaomi Mi Max was powered by Snapdragon 650 (6 Cores) while the Mi Max Prime featured a Snapdragon 652 (8 Cores) processor.

The recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 is an Octa Core processor with faster cores (Cortex A73) clocked at 2.2 GHz, while the low-speed cores (Cortex A53) will have 1.9 GHz frequency.

The processor is also going to be much more energy efficient compared to the Snapdragon 650 and can boost the battery life for Mi Max 2.

The Snapdragon 660 is manufactured using the 14 Nm process and will come with a new Adreno 512 GPU. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 also supports X12 LTE modem which offers upto 600 MBPS of data speed.

The older Mi Max came with a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 Megapixel front selfie camera; Mi Max 2 may get a Dual Camera setup. The Mi Max 2 is said to be powered by SONY IMX 378 sensor with a single camera lens at the back.

The Mi Max 2 will come with 64 GB internal storage and will have 4 GB of Ram. It is also alleged that the lower variant can miss on the Snapdragon 660 processor and may come with the Snapdragon 626 SOC.

The prime variant can support 128 GB storage and a whopping 6 GB ram.

The smartphone will retain the large 5000 mAH battery which was also there on its predecessor. Existing Mi Max has 4850 mAH battery capacity.

Xiaomi would like to keep it thinner than the 7.5 mm benchmark set by the Mi Max.

Some days back another smartphone leak suggested the name as Redmi 2 Pro, but it is likely Xiaomi will keep the Name as Mi Max 2, to make things less confusing, than they already are.
