Mi NoteBook Pro Rivals Apple MacBook Pro
The new Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro rivals the Apple MacBook Pro. It looks similar to the Apple machine but runs on Windows 10 instead of Mac OSX High Sierra.
Further, the magnesium alloy material makes the new Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro durable. It comes with the minimalist design even without any Mi branding. The Laptop weighs 1.95 Kgs and has a thickness of 15.9 mm.
Besides, the new Mi NoteBook Pro 2017 comes with a 15.6 Inch display with 1080P resolution and has 72% NTSC color gamut.The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display.
There is 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor or the Intel Core i5 processor powering the Mi NoteBook Pro, along with the DDR4 RAM clocked at 2400 MHz.
The Mi Notebook comes in 3 different configurations :
- Intel Core i5 + 8 GB RAM – Price Rs. 55400 or RMB 5599
- Intel Core i7 + 8 GB RAM – Price Rs. 63400 or RMB 6399
- Intel Core i7 + 16 GB RAM – Price Rs. 69400 or RMB 6999
All the variants have 256 GB PCI-E SSD, which is the fastest storage available, to ensure lightning-fast data transfer. Additionally, the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro comes with a precise touchpad that also houses a fingerprint scanner, and has Windows Hello support for biometric security and authentication.
The ergonomically designed backlit keyboard is another top feature for the NoteBook. Notably, the keyboard is about 19% larger compared to the MacBook keyboard and even comes with concave keys to help improve the typing experience and speed.
Faster Graphics Performance
Apart from having the Quad Core 8th Gen Intel Processor, the laptop also boasts of Nvidia GTX 150 MX dedicated graphics card. It ensures all your Photoshop and Adobe premier work is completed quickly.
Also, Xiaomi has shared that the laptop offers a great cooling system that has symmetrical fans to ensure faster air intake and exhaust to keep the laptop cool during the load.
Furthermore, the laptop has many ports unlike the MacBook Pro; it comes with SD card slot, USB Type C, USB 3.0 ports. Another highlight is that it supports fast charging and can charge from 0-50% in just 35 minutes.
Lastly, the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro comes with Harmon Infinity custom build speakers to ensure better sound quality.
The new Xiaomi laptop looks like a powerhouse on a budget, but sadly we have little hopes of it getting launched anywhere outside of China.
