Xiaomi today at a major event in Beijing, China unveiled the 2 new high-end smartphones ( Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3) and the the new Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro.
The new Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro targets the Apple MacBook Pro and looks similar to the Apple machine but runs on Windows 10 instead of Mac OSX High Sierra.
The new Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro is made of durable magnesium allow material and it comes with minimalist design without any Mi branding. The Laptop weighs 1.95 Kgs and has a thickness of 15.9 mm.
The new Mi NoteBook Pro 2017 comes with a 15.6 Inch display with 1080P resolution and has 72% NTSC color gamut. The display is also protected by the Corning Gorilla glass 3.
The Mi NoteBook Pro is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor or the Intel Core i5 processor along with the DDR4 RAM clocked at 2400 MHz.
The Mi Notebook comes in 3 different configurations :
- Intel Core i5 + 8 GB RAM – Price Rs. 55400 or RMB 5599
- Intel Core i7 + 8 GB RAM – Price Rs. 63400 or RMB 6399
- Intel Core i7 + 16 GB RAM – Price Rs. 69400 or RMB 6999
All the variants have 256 GB PCIE SSD which is the fastest available to ensure lightening fast data transfer. The Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro comes with a precise touchpad which also houses a fingerprint scanner and has Windows Hello support for biometric security and authentication.
The other key highlight is the ergonomically designed keyboard for the Mi NoteBook which is also backlit. The keyboard is about 19% larger compared to the Macbook keyboard and also comes with concave keys to help improve the typing experience and speed.
Apart from having the Quad Core 8th Gen Intel Processor the laptop also boasts of Nvidia GTX 150 MX dedicated graphics card to ensure all your Photoshop and adobe premier work is completed super fast.
Xiaomi has also shared that the laptop offers great cooling system which has symmetrical fans to ensure intake and exhaust of air to keep the laptop cool during the load.
The laptop also has many ports unlike the MacBook Pro, it comes with SD card slot, USB Type C, USB 3.0 ports. The laptop also supports fast charging and can charge from 0-50% in just 35 minutes.
Lastly, the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro comes with Harmon Infinity custom build speakers to ensure better sound quality.
The new Xiaomi laptop looks like a powerhouse on a budget, but sadly we have little hopes of it getting launched anywhere outside of China.
