Xiaomi is looking forward to have eventful months with many releases and trying to win customers with different needs. Xiaomi is all set to launch the new Xiaomi Redmi 4 successor to the Redmi 3 smartphone in the Chinese market.
After, the release of Redmi Pro (with OLED display and Dual Camera in China) and Redmi 3S and 3S Prime (in the Indian Market), Xiaomi seems to be having one more quick launch with the Redmi 4 which was recently spotted online .
The leaks suggest that the Redmi 4 will sport a metal body which is now becoming more common for the Xiaomi smartphones. Xiaomi has given up on the basic poly-plastic design of the older models like Mi4i and the Redmi 2 prime.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 also has made an appearnce on the Chinese certification website Tenaa and is ready for eminent release, likely in November 2016.
The Redmi 4 will sport a fingerprint sensor at the back below the rear camera. It looks similar to Redmi Note 3, but will instead have flat edges compared to the rounded edges found on Redmi Note 3.
Compared to the Redmi Note design the Redmi 4 offers similar on screen buttons, camera, LED flash, fingerprint sensor. Except the speaker grills, it’ll be placed at the bottom this time compared to the back firing speakers found on Redmi Note 3.
The dual bottom facing speakers will be flanked on both the sides of the micro USB port. Also to make the phone feel more premium, there will be chamfered chrome edges running across the phone.
The Redmi 4 will have 2.5 D curve glass on front and sports a thin bezel display, to make the device more premium looking. The smartphone is expected to come with a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera and a 5 Mega pixel front camera.
According to the report the Redmi 4 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor clocked at 2.0 GHz paired with 3 GB of RAM. Earlier rumors suggested that the Redmi 4 will comes with the Helio P10 or the X20 processor but the recent information by Tenaa listing suggests it will come with the Snapdragon 625 processor.
Judging by the leaks the Redmi 4 will directly face competition from its own breed aka Redmi Note 3, Leeco Le 2 featuring almost similar specifications.
The smartphone may get a Snapdragon 652 variant in some of the markets including India, and is likely to launch in November 2016.
Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Air couple of weeks back, it’s first laptop. The Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Air is available in China at the moment and is a very affordable MacBook Air rival, we hope it makes way to India very soon.
