ZTE V870, Axon Max, and Nubia Prague S – Specs, Price and Launch Details

ZTE has launched a new mid-range smartphone called as ZTE V870 in China. The mobile comes with a 5.5 inch (1920×1080) FHD display with 2.5D curved glass on top.

Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SOC with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. The processor is mid-range and is previously used in devices like Xiaomi Redmi 4.

For starters, it comes with 4 GB of RAM which is sufficient for multi-tasking. Additionally, it has a large 64 GB of internal storage and is expandable up to 128GB with the help of micro SD cards.

The V870 flaunts a 16 MP f/2.0 rear camera with single LED flash. At the front, it’s rocking an 8 MP selfie shooter to click selfies and make video calls.

It’s 2017, making it pretty visible about the standard Dual SIM, 3G/4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS, GPS connectivity option with the handset.

Further, it runs on a 3000 mAH capacity battery with quick charge support. Surprisingly, it ships with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat software out of the box.

There is no official word out on the launch of the V870 handset in the international market.

Notably, the ZTE  V870 costs CNY 2,699(approx 25,500) which seems to be quiet expensive considering the specs. There are yet no details available for an India / global launch.

Recently, ZTE also launched the Z17 mini in India for Rs 19,999. The ZTE Z17 mini offers the great camera and offers a powerful Snapdragon Processor (SD 652).

Recently, the brand has also launched the Flagship smartphone for 2017 – ZTE Z17 that runs on the fastest Snapdragon 835 and 8 GB of Ram.

ZTE Axon Max Powered By Snapdragon 617 and 3 GB RAM Launched

In a related occurrence, the company unveiled the ZTE Axon MAX with a 6.0-inch screen and a 13 MP front camera at an event in China.

Notably, the Axon Max is the company’s second 6-inch mobile after the ZTE Grand Max.

Aforementioned, there is a 6-inch screen that offers a Full HD (1080*1920) AMOLED display panel, with a 2.5D glass finish.

Also, it is made up of an Aluminum alloy with titanium, improving the durability. Powering the Axon is the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 617 processor built on 64 Bit architecture, and has 3 GB of RAM.

The ZTE Axon Max comes with 32 GB storage space and for further expansion uses an SD card slot to support up to 128 GB.

It runs on Android lollipop 5.1 with ZTE’s custom skin on top, the UI is customized by ZTE’s MiFavor 3.5.

The Axon Max is one of the early devices to come with Snapdragon 617, we earlier saw HTC use the processor in the HTC A9.

The Snapdragon 617 processor scored a benchmark of 3186 points on Geek bench, which is closer to high-end devices like HTC M9, and Nexus 5X.

Despite the processor is designed for Mid-range devices, it features improved Quick charge technology & LTE modem having 300 Mbps transfer rate, and higher resolution camera support (up to 21 MP).

Now coming to the camera, there is a 16 MP camera at the rear, with fast Auto-focus of 0.1 seconds. The front camera packs 13MP sensor which makes it a great selfie clicker.

Other features are a rear Fingerprint scanner, Quick charge 2.0, a large 4140 mAh battery. It even has a 24-bit dedicated Audio chip and 4G support with dual sim-slots.

Lastly, it costs USD 431 (around 28500 INR). The smartphone sale will begin in China this month. The company didn’t reveal the global availability yet.

ZTE Nubia Prague S offers Frame Interactive Technology

ZTE has launched a new phone and is part of the Nubia Series. It is a mid-range device with a thin and sleek design. The Nubia series offers superior build quality and looks in comparison to other ZTE phones.

The key highlight is the FIT (Frame Interactive Technology), which enables users to use the edges of the mobile to click images, increase decrease volume and open up Apps.

It is not something new from ZTE but probably not too many users are aware of this. The similar technology is used in the predecessor ZTE My Prague.

The other highlighting feature for the Nubia Prague S is the Iris Eye scanner technology. It enables users to unlock it by looking at the front camera.

The ZTE Prague S is available in China for CNY 2499, approximately Rs. 25000. The device will start shipping this week.

Key Specs and Details

Further, it comes with a 5.2-inch display with super AMOLED Full HD resolution (1920*1080) with a pixel density of 423 PPI.

Moreover, there is a 2.5 D glass screen which merges seamlessly with its metal frame and it even has the Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

For audiophiles, it has NeoSound 4.0, AKM4375 Hi-Fi audio chip7.1-channel that provide Dolby surround sound and enhance the audio out for speakers as well as earphones.

Furthermore, there is Dual Sim and 4G LTE support.

It runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS and Numbia UI 3.0. Powering the phone is the 64 Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and it comes with 3 GB of Ram.

For photography, we have a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with PDAF, F/2.2 lens and Auto-focus with led Flash.

The front camera is a 8 MP shooter with wide angle, f/2.4 aperture, fixed focus lens.

Additionally, the Camera UI is neo-vision which comes with advance as well as basic options to let you capture images the way you want.

Notably, it comes with a large 64 GB of internal storage and you can even add a 128 GB Micro-sd card for storage expansion. It is not clear when it will go on sale outside China.
