The 1More Piston Fit Earphones are premium wireless earphones you can use with your mobile or laptop.
These are currently available for Rs. 2,999 from Amazon and Flipkart.
Previously, I have reviewed the 1More Piston Classic headphones that are one of my favorite wired earphones.
Notably, 1More is an established brand in the sound industry, and they are the OEM for the acclaimed Xiaomi Mi Pistons.
There are plenty of popular wireless Bluetooth headphones in the market, such as OnePlus Wireless Buds, Xiaomi Bluetooth Sports headsets, Realme Buds Wireless, and Boat Rockerz 255 headsets.
I have just named a few, but there are countless brands and options available.
In this review, let’s check out detailed features and experience, Pros and Cons, for the 1More Piston Fit Wireless Earphones.
Let’s start with the packaging and unboxing:
Unboxing
The earphones come in a large cardboard box with white and grey color.
There are headphones and four sets of silicone ear tips of various sizes inside the box. Also, there is a micro-usb charging cable.
You can effortlessly change the silicon tips on the earphones to match your ear canal size for extra comfort and a better fit.
Top Features & Specs 1More Piston Fit Wireless Earphones
For Starters, these headphones come with Bluetooth 5.0 support and work well with Digital DTS technology on your mobile.
The headphones boast of a 10 mm dynamic driver and offer IPX4 water resistance. You don’t have to worry about wearing these in Gym or while running.
Also, the brand is offering a 1-year warranty on the product and even has an office in India.
You can use these with any Android or iPhone using Bluetooth connectivity.
Fast and Optimized Bluetooth connection: The brand claims the headphones have a stable connection, and the onboard chip is optimized for speedier Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
In my experience of the last 15 days, I found the range and connectivity stable, and there were hardly any instances of interference or loss of connectivity.
Controller for the Earphones
There is a controller that lets you pick up calls, increase or decrease the volume, play/pause tracks, and start the Google assistant.
Since the wire is quite long, it is easy to reach the controller and take the desired action.
Design
The high-quality earbuds come with a lightweight aluminum alloy build.
The dark greyish, metallic glossy finish design makes these look premium and undoubtedly better looking than the sub 2k wireless headphones from popular brands.
The 1More brand name and Right and Left signs are easily visible on the earpods.
As the company states, the internals is made from the high-grade material to provide precision and dexterity to the sound output.
Unique Angled Design
The earbuds have a slight angle. The angled pods help these fit in-ears effortlessly, and more importantly, they stay in place even when you are jogging or exercising.
The earbuds are not bulky, and even after wearing them for a couple of hours, you will not feel any discomfort.
The essential advantage of this design (battery located in the controller) is higher comfort and less pressure on your ear canal.
I don’t like to wear dense truly wireless buds, but this type of design is the second-best option to traditional wired headphones.
The wire is sufficiently long, and it is not a braided cable. The connecting wire between the controller on the right and the left side is thick and looks sturdy.
Let’s talk about the meat of the earphones – the Sound Quality.
Sound Quality and Experience
I am using these as my daily driver with Asus Rog Phone II and even tried these with the Poco F1 and Realme XT, which I was testing.
I tested these while watching Netflix, listening to high-quality Flac files on the MacBook Pro, and on music streaming apps like Gana and Amazon music.
Sound Quality
The Grammy Award Winning Sound Engineer, Luca Bignardi, has tuned these as he does most of the headphones from 1More.
It is not only the hardware, but the optimizations also matter a lot when it comes to reproducing accurate soundstage.
I listened to several Hindi and English tracks and tuned the Audio using Audio settings on the phone.
These sound crystal clear, and you can easily distinguish the sound of different musical instruments.
The vocals are easily discernable, and these don’t offer overwhelming bass or treble.
The bass is not so much that you feel uncomfortable and not so underwhelming.
However, if you like more live music and thump, these may not offer you the thump and beats you can get out of cheaper wired headphones.
The treble is also balanced and won’t pierce your ears even when playing acoustic music.
Lastly, the sound stage is decent but not comparable to high-end wired/wireless earphones like the 1More Dual or Triple driver.
Call quality is above average and better than most budget wireless headphones I have tested in the past.
The range is about 10 meters and is significantly longer than a lot of other earphones.
Battery Life and Charging
You can charge the earphones using the micro-usb port on the controller.
It takes about 1:10 hours to charge the headphones.
The battery capacity is 130 mAudH, and these can last 7-8 hours on a single charge.
I would have loved more battery life, as I usually forget to charge my wireless buds.
OneMore Assistant App To fine Tune Sound
You can download the OneMore Assistant App from the play store that comes with an equalizer and a loudness compensation switch to further enhance the user experience.
I would recommend you to try the App and fine-tune the audio settings based on your likings.
Concluding Thoughts
At an asking price of Rs. 2999 (available on Amazon India) these seem to be a bit expensive to be fair; however, if you need slightly better call quality, you can buy these.
The music experience of 1More iBFree is better, whereas the call quality on the piston fit wireless is superior.
These may sound flat to many users who are accustomed to listening to heavy bass and treble.
Overall these are quite comfortable to wear and use as a daily driver.
Buy these for making calls and casual music experience; for audiophiles, I would still recommend investing in a wired quality headset.
Also, 1More makes even more expensive (costs Rs. 9,900) triple driver wired/wireless earphones (meant for superior audio experience), probably we will test those soon.
