The Panasonic P66 Mega is available for Rs. 7,990 and you can buy it both online as well as offline in the retail stores.
For starters, it has support for 21 regional Indian languages and is helpful for people who are not comfortable with English and want to operate the smartphone in their own regional language.
Further, it has support for all major Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and many more.
Besides, the phone is available in 3 color options – Gold, Blue, and White. The design is not very different from some of the older Panasonic devices and bezels also look a bit thicker. It has a thickness of 8.4 mm.
Hardware Specs and Features
The highlight feature is its long battery life, as it has a 3200 mAH capacity battery. It promises to run all day with moderate to heavy usage.
Further, the Panasonic P66 Mega comes with 5.0-inch screen and HD (1280*720)P resolution offering a 293 PPI.
Also, we have the Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the front screen and there is Asahi Dragon trail glass at the back.
Powering the phone is a Quad-Core processor (yet undisclosed) which has a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. Besides, it is accompanied by 2 GB RAM which is essential to run the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS.
Additionally, Panasonic has its own custom UI skin at the top of the Android Lollipop known as the Icon UI.
Further, the mobile has an 8 Mega Pixel rear camera with Autofocus support and LED flash and there is a 5 MP front camera.
The smartphone comes with Dual-Sim connectivity with 3G + 2G but ironically misses on the 4G LTE support which can be a deal breaker for many new buyers.
Lastly, the P66 Mega comes with 16 GB of internal storage expandable upto 32 GB using a micro-SD card.
In comparison to the competition devices in this range like the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Price or Lenovo A6000 specs are not far behind and Panasonic may attract some of the buyers looking for regional language support.
