Dell Inspiron 7501 Specs and Details

The three of the Dell Inspiron models give an excellent visual experience with its non-touch 15.6 inches Full HD screen with 1920 * 1080 pixels resolution.

The laptops have an Anti-Glare LED Backlight Wide Viewing Angle display. It has 142 PPI pixels density, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and 300 nits brightness.

Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop

The lack of a high refresh rate display makes the Inspiron less attractive to many gamers that want to play competitive E-sports titles.

The alluring design has a 4-sided narrow border, an aluminum build, and an HD webcam with a privacy shutter.

It is available in a single color of Silver.

The light and thin laptops weigh 1.79 kg, have 356.1mm of width, and height of 17.5mm (Front) and 18.9mm (Back).

To provide best-in-class performance, Dell uses the most advanced 10th Generation Intel core processors.

This processor is built for gamers and creators.

The base model comes with the Intel Core i5-10300H with 8MB Cache, 4 Cores, and up to 4.5 GHz clock speed.

The remaining two models offer the top-of-the-line Intel Core i7 (10750H processor) with 12MB Cache, 6 Cores, and up to 5.0GHz clock speed.

Dell has chosen to go with the Intel H series processors for both the Inspiron as well as the Dell XPS line-up instead of the AMD Ryzen 4000 series.

The laptops come with either 8 GB or 16 GB of onboard ram which seems to be non-expandable, so choose wisely.

The laptops run on Windows 10 Home Single Langauge Operating System.

Besides, to keep the system cool, the company has used dual-fans and Dual-heat pipes.

As far as the graphics are concerned, the premium laptops come with the gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with 4GB GDDR6 RAM.

The 1650Ti is not the fastest graphics card that you can get in this price range, some of the gaming laptops offer 1660 or even the 1660 Ti in this price range.

Other Notable Features

Talking about the battery, all the models come beside a 3-Cell battery with 56WHr support. It is not a very large battery and considering the H-Series power-hungry processors should be able to deliver 4-5 hours of battery back-up.

Notably, the laptop comes with an ergonomic full-size keyboard with a numeric pad and backlighting.

Also, there is a fingerprint scanner with Windows Halo support and also has a thunderbolt port.

Furthermore, the laptops have 2 * USB 3.2 Type-A, 1 * USB 3.2 Type-C, 1 * USB Type-C, 1 * HDMI port, 1 * MicroSD card reader, and Combo headphone/mic jack.

The laptop is best suited for Video Editing, content creation, and other creative tasks.

Notably, they come with 2.5W Dual Built-in speakers with MaxxAudio Pro and RealTek Audio chip, occupy two built-in microphones.

Should You Buy the Dell Inspiron 15?

The Inspiron 15 comes with an H series of Intel processors making it ideal for doing all sorts of heavy tasks and it will not feel slow for many years. It is definitely better than the U and G series of Intel offerings.

The lack of a high refresh rate display makes it unsuitable for Pro gamers. For normal office or home use, both the base models are decent.

Content Creators should look at getting the highest model with 16 GB of Ram as the Ram is likely soldered and Dell doesn’t share if we can expand the Ram on these machines.

Dell is also offering some goodies like 3 years of extended warranty for Rs. 2999 that I think is a steal deal and you must opt for it as it will give you protection against expensive repairs in the future.

HP has also introduced the new ProBook thin and lightweight business laptops in India to cater to the working professions.
