Xiaomi Redmi Note 11s

Let’s have a quick look at the key specs and features for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Octa-Core processor with a 2.4 GHz max clock speed and the Adreno 610 for gaming.

Aforementioned, we are getting either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage. The smartphone comes with a large 6.43-inch FHD+ (2,400*10080 pixels) AMOLED Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate panel.

Xiaomi has exciting Quad-rear cameras for the shutterbugs, as the smartphone boasts a 50-megapixel primary lens (f/1.8 aperture). Three more cameras include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and not-so-useful 2MP macro, 2MP depth sensor.

The Quad-Cameras on budget phones are gimmicks; the primary camera is used for most images.

The Note 11 offers a 13MP punch hole camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens to take social media-worthy selfies.

Further, the mobile still runs on Android 11 (which is a bit old now, and some of the brands are already shipping new phones with Android 12); on top of it is the companies newly launched MIUI 13.

The phone promises all-day battery life and comes with a large 5,000mAh battery along with 33Watts fast charging support.

The device is not too thick and measures 8.1 mm, and weighs 179 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, (IR) blaster, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Lastly, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor surprisingly offers dual stereo speakers.

Pros

  • Excellent AMOLED display.
  • Fast Performance SD 680 and 4/6 GB Ram.
  • Long Battery life and fast charging.
  • Decent Primary camera and selfie shooter.

Cons

  • Gimmicky Quad-Camera setup.
  • Android 11 and MIUI – are not my favorite.
  • Lacks 5G support.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11s

The Note 11s will be available in blue, black, and a polar white color and will go on sale starting from 21st Feb on e-commerce websites.

The Redmi Note 11s has a similar design as the Note 11 and comes with some specs that are the same as the Note 11. For starters, it has the same 6.43 inch AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and runs on MIUI 13 along with the Android 11.

The essential upgrade is the more powerful Octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 processors, and you can get up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

For imaging, instead of a 50 MP primary camera, it has an upgraded 108-megapixel primary Samsung HM2 sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The other three secondary cameras are the same – 8 MP + 2 MP + 2MP.

The selfie shooter has a 16 MP lens with an f/2.4 aperture lens.

The connectivity options are the same as the Note 11, and it also comes with a 5000 mAH battery and 33 Watts fast charging. However, since it is an expensive phone, the lack of 5G is a bummer because many other phones in the 15k to 20k range offer 5G.

Redmi Note 11T 5G

The new phone is the successor to the previously launched Redmi Note 10T 5G and improves.
