The new version of the Zephyrus comes with the latest Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics card is an improvement compared to the previous generation. The ROG (Republic of Gamers) is a premium high-end gaming series from Asus.
The laptop costs a bomb at Rs. 3,49,990, and the company calls the machine as one of the thinnest laptop ever with the top-end NVidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card with 8 GB of VRAM. The laptop is close to 16mm in thickness and weighs just 2.1 kgs.
It will go on sale from 11 April 2019.
Key Specs and Details
The ROG Zephyrus has a 15.6-inch FHD display with a 144Hz display panel and NVidia G-SYNC and the Nvidia Max-Q technology. Powering the laptop is the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 6 Cores and 12 threads (8750H) and runs on Windows 10 Creators Update.
The Asus Rog Zephyrus is one of the first laptops to come with the Nvidia Max Q technology which makes it thinner, power efficient and powerful at the same time.
Furthermore, the laptop has a dedicated ROG cooling system termed Active Aerodynamic System (AAS). Additionally, it comes with the Asura RGB lighting system.

“ROG Zephyrus has an exclusive Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) that runs cooler and quieter without sacrificing performance. AAS incorporates unique AeroAccelerator (AA) technology that increases the speed and efficiency of airflow through the laptop,” Asus said in its release.
The laptop also comes with an RGB lighting keyboard which offers dynamic and customizable effects for the keyboard. This has become a common affair in gaming laptops releasing these days.
“When Zephyrus is opened, a portion of the bottom of the chassis flexes to increase the airflow volume by 20 percent and further increase air circulation. AAS maximizes system stability as well as gaming and thermal performance. Additionally, it allows full utilization of the CPU and GPU, so gamers can engage in marathon sessions without fear of interruption,” the company said.
Moreover, Asus says that the keyboard will even work when you press 30 keys at the same time. There’s a hotkey, which activates a red backlight on the keyboard.
Ports in the laptop include a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3, with which you can connect a 4K UHD monitor. This laptop from Asus supports up to 24GB of DDR4 RAM and comes with upto 1 TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

The Asus Rog Strix Scar II is meant for FPS gamers and comes with a cool logo backlighting and an RGB keyboard. Powering the laptop is the Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory.
It comes with Nvidia Max Q support making it more thinner and power efficient.
The laptop has 15.6 Inch Full HD display with 144 Hz panel and comes with anti-glare coating. Further, it runs on the Intel Core i7 8750H 6 Cores processor and has 16 GB of DDR4 Ram with 2666 MHz clock speed.

Asus has launched a new gaming laptop, ROG Strix GL553, under the Republic Of Gamers (ROG) series. ROG is number one in gaming laptops with 40% of global market share.
Notably, the laptop was originally launched at the CES 2017, along with other gaming machines like Lenovo Legion 720 and 520, Dell Inspiron 7000.
Asus ROG Strix is a 15.6-inch laptop with Full HD 1080p, 60 Hz IPS display with the wide-view display. It comes with a matte finish so that there is no glare or reflections and a better visual experience.

Asus Rog Strix Chimera Edition
Asus Rog Chimera is the Worlds First Laptop which comes with a 17.3 Inch Full HD Wide view monitor and also has the Nvidia G-Sync technology along with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 7 ms response time monitor.
The 144 Hz refresh rate display is the first on any laptop, and with G-Sync support, it can really make the gameplay smoother without any tearing seen on the low refresh rate monitors on the gaming laptops.
Asus has started a new trend and most other manufacturers will be following it in the coming months. Though the G-SYNC and high refresh rate monitors are damn expensive and may not be available in the mainstream laptops even in the coming months.
