10# Dell KM 717 (Best Chicklet Keyboard for Windows)

I bought the Dell KM 717 almost a year back, and so far, it has been a great experience. The keyboard comes with a metallic construction for the top side, and the bottom side is made from plastic.

When you get it for the first time, it may not look so premium, but with use, you will find out that it is better than most other keyboards available in the market.

  • Battery – 2 AA batteries (last very long)

  • Backlit – No
  • Weight – 390.09 Grams
  • Warranty – 12 months
  • Price – INR 6999

The Keys for the Dell KM717 are well spaced, so the typing is accurate on this. I make more mistakes on my mechanical G.Skill keyboard than the KM 717.

Also, I have a slightly faster typing speed on this keyboard in comparison to the mechanical keyboard. Overall it is an excellent Keyboard to use with a PC or even with a tablet as it comes with Bluetooth support, and you can pair it with any mobile or tablet.

The only gripe that I have is the slightly higher actuation force, and keys feel slightly more springy than the Apple magic keyboard that I think is slightly better than this. Also, this doesn’t have backlighting.

You are also getting a mouse with this Keyboard, which is better than most mice for less than Rs. 1000 price range. But I think it is not very ergonomic if you are used to some of the better, more expensive and mice.

11# Logitech MX Keys (My Dream Keyboard)

Next, I have the Creme de la Creme of the Chicklet keyboards. If you want the best typing experience and have deep pockets, the Logitech MX Keys is an ideal choice.

I love this keyboard and will like to buy it as a replacement for the Dell KM 717 that I am currently using. The MX Keys, based on several reviews, is one of the best-designed keyboards for Windows.

One of the major advantages of buying the MX keys is that you can use it with Windows and Mac OS. There is a command key that you can use for the Mac without a need to buy the Apple magic keyboard.

Key Specs:

  • Battery – 2 AA batteries (last very long)
  • Connectivity range – 10 m

  • Dimension – 131 x 420 x 21 mm
  • Backlit – Yes

The keyboard is made on top of a single metal plate and has very little flex, and is very easy to type on.

The keys are contoured to make sure that you don’t press the wrong keys, and there is sufficient spacing between them.

The designers at Logitech have created a true masterpiece.

Using the keyboard, every keystroke is fluid, natural, and accurate.

The spherically dished keys match your fingertips’ shape and don’t cause fatigue even when typing on it for the whole day.

A Matte coating is applied to every key, making the touch experience very smooth and soft for the fingers.

12# Apple Magic Keyboard

Last but not least, we have one of the best designed and most-used keyboards in the world. The Apple Magic Keyboard has gone through several iterations and offers a minimalist design and a very durable build.

Apple products appear expensive, but they are very reliable and usually get the basics right that so many other products fail to do.

If you have a Mac or want to use it with other Apple devices, this is a great choice.

The keyboard offers a stable scissor mechanism underneath each key.

The key travel is optimized, and the low-profile keyboard offers an incredibly comfortable and precise typing experience.

The keys are silent and don’t make too much noise.

The Magic Keyboard’s battery life is insanely long, and it doesn’t come with a backlight.

You can also pair this with your Macbook Pro or Macbook Air, and it is a must-have if you are typing all day on your keyboard and want a smoother experience.

Also, you can buy the Apple Magic Keyboard with the numeric pad – it is a full-size keyboard with the numeric keys on the right side.
